It’s been exactly 11 years ago today since Twilight was released in theaters and we’re giving fans a bit of a treat today.

Author Stephenie Meyer, who wrote the Twilight book series, shared a blog post she wrote from 2007 that has recently resurfaced with her original actor and actress choices to play the title characters in the movies!

Back in 2007, before the first movie was made, Stephenie wrote on her blog, “My opinions on the movie matter to no one. I have no influence on what goes on with the movie at all. No one is going to ask who I think should star in Twilight.”

So basically, Stephenie‘s opinions on who should be cast weren’t taken into consideration.

Twilight hit theaters on November 21, 2008 and starred Kristen Stewart as Bella and Robert Pattinson as Edward.

Twilight fans will be interested to hear that many other very famous actors could have landed some big roles in the hit franchise.

While we love the original cast – Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, and more – it is fun to see who else could have played the famous roles. It’s definitely an interesting list with lots of recognizable stars!

It’s a Twilight reunion!

Ashley Greene and director Catherine Hardwicke reunited at Cinespia‘s screening of Twilight presented by Amazon Studios & Amazon Prime Video at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Saturday night (July 27) in Los Angeles.

The two surprised the thousands of fans in attendance to talk about their experience while working on the film nearly one decade later.

Ashley played Alice Cullen in the Twilight movies. Catherine directed the 2008 film.

Twilight fans are going to love this!

The house that was used as Bella Swan’s house in the Twilight saga is now available for rent through Airbnb.

Although only the first film was shot inside, the owners have redecorated the interior so that it looks exactly like it did in the movies – and there are even cutouts of characters played by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner in some of the bedrooms!

The five-bedroom house is located in Saint Helens, Oregon instead of in Forks, Washington where it was based in the book and movie series.

Renting the “Twilight Swan House” starts at $330 per night with a two-night minimum. Check out the house on Airbnb here!

The Twilight movies are heading on a world tour in a live-to-film concert!

The event will feature a full orchestra performing Carter Burwell’s original score, which will be timed perfectly with the first movie in the franchise, which was released back in 2008.

Lionsgate previously did this concert tour with The Hunger Games and La La Land.

Deadline reports that the tour will kick off in Brazil in August and will also head to Australia and the UK.

“We’re thrilled to launch another live-to-film tour in the footsteps of our Hunger Games and La La Land international concert events,” Lionsgate’s Jenefer Brown said. “The combination of author Stephenie Meyer’s brilliant storytelling, Carter Burwell’s musical genius, and a truly legendary underlying film and book property will continue to expand the world of Twilight and introduce it to legions of new fans around the world.”

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner starred in the film franchise.

Anna Kendrick shot to stardom with her role as Jessica in the Twilight series, but she seemingly forgot that part of her career!

The 33-year-old Oscar-nominated actress took to her Twitter account on Monday (November 26), a few days after the first film’s 10th anniversary, to share her revelation.

“Holy sh-t. I just remembered I was in Twilight,” Anna tweeted.

Anna appeared in four of the franchise’s films. She was credited for Breaking Dawn – Part 2, though she was not in the movie.

After starring in the first Twilight movie, Anna was cast in Up in the Air and she earned her first Oscar nomination for that role. She’s been working steadily ever since!
