Stephenie Meyer has voiced her thoughts on her blockbuster book series Twilight!

The 39-year-old author shared to Variety about making a possible return to Twilight, “I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be.”

“Not completely. What I would probably do is three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died. I’m interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle-Earth,” Stephenie added about closing the Twilight chapter in her life.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has topped this weekend’s box office with $43 million for the weekend total, according to THR.

The Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner flick has already earned $227 million domestically and $577.7 million worldwide.

Also earning big this weekend was the number two flick Skyfall, which brought in $36 million over the holiday.

Lincoln came in at number three with $25 million earned, bringing its domestic total to $62.2 million.

Rounding out the top five were Rise of the Guardians with $24 million grossed, and Life of Pi, with $22 million earned.

In total, this holiday weekend earned a record $290 million at the movies!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has topped this weekend’s box office with an enormous $340.9 million worldwide opening, according to THR.

The fourth installment in the popular franchise, which brought in $141.3 million domestically, opened ahead of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1‘s opening last year, but did not defeat the numbers from The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘s money making first weekend of $142.8 million.

James Bond flick Skyfall came in at number two this weekend with $41.5 million earned in it’s second weekend in theaters.

Daniel Day Lewis‘ Lincoln ranked in at number three with $21 million grossed.

Coming in at number’s four and five were Wreck-It Ralph and Flight, with $18.3 million and $8.6 million made, respectively.

Keira Knightley‘s Anna Karenina opened in limited release to a total $315,395 made.

Kristen Stewart is gorgeous in gold alongside Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 held at Cinestar at Potsdamer on Friday night (November 16) Berlin, Germany.

The 22-year-old actress rocked an Elie Saab dress with Christian Louboutin shoes. Taylor suited up in Hugo Hugo Boss.

Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone attend the Norwegian premiere of their film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 at the Colosseum on Thursday (November 15) in Oslo, Norway.

The day before, the pair attended a premiere for the film in Copenhagen, Denmark!

“The premiere in Copenhagen was so incredible! I want to thank all of the fans for coming out! Thank you thank you thank you!!!” Nikki tweeted. “Had so much fun at the Q&A with @JacksonRathbone!”

“Any Norwegian #Twilight fans out there? @NikkiReed_I_Am and I are here celebrating the release of #BreakingDawnPart2 !! #Oslo,” Jackson tweeted at the premiere in Norway.

FYI: Nikki is wearing a Naeem Khan gown, Norman Silverman studs, Casadei heels, and a Swarovski clutch.

Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Dakota Fanning attend a special screening of their film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 on Thursday (November 15) at the Landmark Sunshine Theater in New York City.

The co-stars were joined by their castmates Maggie Grace and Peter Facinelli.

Earlier in the day, Ashley and Kellan were both spotted out and about in the Big Apple while getting ready for the screening.

Kellan is featured in a brand new video for Funny or Die in which he plays Agent Hashtag, the world’s deadliest secret agent who has one fatal flaw…. a dangerous addiction to social media. Watch it below!
