The latest saga in the Fast & Furious franchise is nearly upon us!

Charlize Theron is on board to star in a genderbent reboot of Die Hard.

The -year-old actress confirmed her thoughts in the new issue of Vanity Fair, opening up about replying to the idea on social media in the first place.

The idea of the reboot spawned from a tweet that said “Lesbian Christmas rom-coms are all well and good, but what I really want is a ‘Die Hard’ where Charlize Theron goes on a rampage to save her wife.”

“Where do I sign?” Charlize had replied, and in the feature, explains that she’s still serious about it.

“Yeah, I mean, it’s a great idea,” she shared. “That’s why I replied on Twitter. Because I just thought that was kind of brilliant. I was like, ‘This person needs to start pitching. That’s a great idea.’ And the fact that it would be two women, I was like, ‘Yeah, sign me on.’”

Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington are going to be co-stars!

The two actresses will star in Netflix‘s The School For Good And Evil, Deadline reported Friday (February 19).

The Paul Feig-directed film is an adaptation of the fantasy YA novel from Soman Chainani.

Charlize will play Lady Lesso and Kerry will portray Professor Dovey.

Here’s a plot summary for the bestselling six-book series: “best friends Sophie and Agatha discover where fairytale legacies go to school: the School for Good and Evil, where ordinary boys and girls are trained to be fairy tale heroes and villains. The 45-year-old Oscar-winning actress made her way through the parking lot after grabbing a bite to eat with friends on Sunday afternoon (January 31) at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, Calif.

In the side-by-side, Charlize seems to be comparing her lipstick skills to Kylie‘s lipstick skills. It appears as if one of Charlize‘s young children applied her lipstick, while Kylie, the lip kit queen, has picture perfect lips, of course!

Anya Taylor-Joy is opening up about stepping into Charlize Theron‘s shoes and getting to portray Furiosa in the Mad Max origin story.

The 24-year-old actress chatted with MTV’s Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, and revealed that she’s “humbled and grateful” to be following Charlize in the role.

“[Charlize] did such an incredible job and it was so beautiful and I can’t even think about trying to step [into her shoes],” Anya shared. “It has to be something different, because it just can’t be done.”

Anya added that “the first thing that went through my head when I found out I was going to do it was, ‘I am so excited to work so hard.’ The level of commitment that has been shown before me, I endeavor to match that, and that makes me really excited.”

Previously, Charlize revealed how she felt about being replaced by a younger actress in the role for a prequel film.

“It’s a little heartbreaking, for sure,” she confessed. “I really love that character, and I’m so grateful that I had a small part in creating her. She will forever be someone I think of and reflect on fondly. Obviously, I would love to see that story continue, and if he feels like he has to go about it this way, then I trust him [George Miller] in that manner.”

A sequel to the animated movie The Addams Family is on the way and MGM just announced the release date!

The Addams Family 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 8, 2021, just in time for the Halloween season.

Returning for the movie are Charlize Theron (Morticia), Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Chloe Moretz (Wednesday), Nick Kroll (Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma) and Snoop Dogg (It). Joining the cast are Bill Hader as Cyrus and Javon “Wanna” Walton as Pugsley.

Director Greg Tiernan said in a statement, “The success of last year’s animated film was proof of the enduring legacy of The Addams Family and its ability to transcend popular culture. This second film will be every bit as fun as the original. We are thrilled to welcome Bill Hader and Javon Walton, and to welcome back our incredible original cast for this exciting next chapter in the Addams’s journey.”

An Addams Family superfan will have the exciting opportunity to voice a yet-to-be-named character in the film by entering The Addams Family Voice Challenge. The global voiceover contest runs from October 8th to November 4th in select markets.
