Erika Jayne & Tom Girardi Sued for Allegedly Using Divorce to Embezzle Money

Erika Jayne and estranged husband Tom Girardi are being sued for allegedly using their divorce to embezzle money.

According to a complaint filed in an Illinois federal court on Wednesday (December 2), the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and the 81-year-old lawyer are being sued on behalf of several families who lost loved ones in a Boeing plane crash, People reports.

The documents alleged that Erika and Tom embezzled settlement funds meant to help the families of victims of Lion Air Flight 610. The crash took place back in October 2018.

“Tom has resorted to embezzling the proceeds of settlements that should have been directed to his clients — including, as the basis for this Complaint, the widows and orphans who lost loved ones in the tragic crash of Lion Air Flight 610 — in order to continue funding his and Erika’s lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles,” the documents state.

Tom‘s law firm – Girardi & Keese (GK) – is also named in the suit, which claims Tom and his firm “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.”

The lawsuit says that Boeing reached individual settlements with clients represented by Tom and his firm, but alleged that the settlement funds were instead used by Tom and Erika.

“At the heart of this deception is Defendant Girardi and his need to fund outrageous lifestyles for himself and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Erika Jayne,” the documents state, while also claiming this isn’t Tom‘s first attempt to “hide and divert assets.”

Just last month Erika filed for divorce from Tom after 21 years of marriage. However, the new lawsuit claims the divorce is a “sham” to protect their money.

“While Erika publicly filed for divorce this month, on information and belief, that ‘divorce’ is simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom’s and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK,” the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit also discusses the couple’s “lavish lifestyle,” even pointing out Erika reportedly previously saying her “look” costs $40,000 a month.

Erika and Tom have not addressed the lawsuit yet.

It was also just revealed that three of Erika‘s RHOBH co-stars tested positive for COVID-19.

Andy Cohen Addresses Teddi Mellencamp's Dismissal From 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

Andy Cohen is setting the record straight.

The Watch What Happens Live host opened up about the departure of Teddi Mellencamp from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on his SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday (September 23).

Teddi Mellencamp released what I thought was one of the most, no BS. I’m leaving announcements on record. We have, we have the audio. Let’s let’s listen to it,” he said before playing her announcement.

“That was really good. That was good….I have to say it’s so wild when you, everyone has just been through it. The year, like it’s not many people for whom this year has been a good year, but she had, I mean, she has had some major health stuff with her kids. So I really, you know, I was, I was watching that thinking, wow, she’s been through it health wise with her kids,” he said.

“Now this there’s a whole controversy online about her business. That’s going on now. Well, well, I just want to, I want to say people are speculating that the online chatter about her business led to her dismissal. And I just want to say, because I think it’s important that one had absolutely nothing to do with the other. And I actually would have liked to see her respond to her critics on the show. I would have liked to have seen that,” he continued.

“I know nothing by the way about her business, but I will say that Jeff Lewis and team, um, I actually, I was tuning in the other day and they were talking about it. I remember them saying this, they went through the all-in program and they did not have bad things to say about it. She, they, I think they said they were hungry, but, um, he said that that, that program taught him how to order food in restaurants. And so anyway, listen, listen to the clip of Jeff talking about the program. So I don’t know, I’ve never done it. I don’t know anything about it. Um, but I did just want to clear that up. And of course I wish her well and I like, I liked that announcement.”

If you missed it, Andy also addressed the departure of a beloved original housewife from the franchise.

Teddi Mellencamp Leaving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' After Three Seasons

Teddi Mellencamp‘s time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is done.

Teddi, 39, took to her Instagram on Tuesday (September 22) to announce that she was not asked back for the 11th season.

“Hey guys, just here, hangin’ with baby Dove,” Teddi started the video. “I don’t want to bore you, but I figured I could give you a little update on what’s going on. I recently found out that my contract as a Housewife is not being renewed.”

“Of course I could give you the standard response of, ‘Oh we both came to the decision that it would be best,’” Teddi continued. “Nah, I’m not going to do that — that’s not who I am. Of course when I got the news I was sad. It feels like a breakup, almost because you develop such strong relationships with the cast, with the crew. And you get to do incredible things that you probably never get to experience without the show.”

“That being said, I’m really looking forward to the future and being able to focus on my family, my friends, all in. I really feel like I have some exciting things ahead. And you know what? I’m pretty busy with this lil’ nuggs,” Teddi said, turning the camera to 6-month-old daughter Dove.

“So, thanks for coming along on this journey with me and I’ll see you soon,” Teddi concluded.

Teddi joined RHOBH back in 2018. She isn’t the only Housewife not returning. This star also announced that she will not be coming back for season 11.

Here's Why Denise Richards is Leaving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

A source is speaking about what Denise Richards has planned after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

It was announced on Wednesday (September 9) that the 49-year-old actress had decided to leave the reality show after two seasons.

Now that she won’t be on the show, a source says Denise has a lot of family time planned now that her schedule has opened up.

“Denise is excited to be home from Spain with her husband and children. Filming in Spain has been wonderful as the only pot being stirred is their incredible Spanish food,” the source shared with People.

Denise recently returned home to California after spending the last few weeks filming her upcoming medieval drama series Glow And Darkness in Madrid.

“The Bold and the Beautiful is her second concurrent acting gig so she was looking to replace RHOBH with time loving her amazing husband, children and who knows, maybe even friends now,” the source added. “She took her 3 productions down to 2 so now she can enjoy her family more as well.”

Denise and husband Aaron Phypers just recently celebrated two years of marriage. They share adopted daughter Eloise, 9, and she shares daughters Sam, 16, and Lola, 15, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

Andy Cohen just recently addressed the possibility of this star joining RHOBH.

Denise Richards is Leaving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' After Two Seasons

Denise Richards‘ time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has come to an end.

A representative for the 49-year-old actress revealed to Variety that she will not be returning for the next season.

Denise‘s exit doesn’t come as too big of a surprise as the 10th season saw Denise often having to defend herself against her fellow cast mates, as well as former cast member Brandi Glanville, who claimed she slept with Denise, even though she is married. Denise has adamantly denied Brandi‘s claims.

As of right now, Denise has not publicly address her decision to leave the show.

Denise has been on RHOBH for two seasons, after joining in 2018.

Andy Cohen Talks Kris Jenner Possibly Joining 'RHOBH'

Is Kris Jenner really heading to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?!

After it was announced that Keeping Up with the Kardashians was coming to an end in 2021, fans quickly took to Twitter to voice their desires for the 64-year-old momager to join the Housewives franchise.

“I got so many DMs and tweets saying Kris should join the Housewives she is good friends with Kyle [Richards], this should happen, make it happen and then I tweeted that I would be talking about it on the radio today and I got a whole bunch of tweets saying don’t do it. It’s so interesting to me,” Andy said on his SiriusXM show.

Kris has popped up on RHOBH a few times, as she’s close friends with several of the cast mates, including Kyle and Lisa Rinna. However, Andy isn’t quite so sure Kris would join.

“I think it would be a huge get too and by the way she is already connected with the cast. She knows, she’s good buddies with Kyle no joke, she knows everyone on the show,” Andy continued. “She is buddies with Rinna I think. I don’t think she would do it. She is leaving a show for which she has total control over. Why would she leave and join a show that she has no control over? She wouldn’t be an executive producer of the show, she wouldn’t have control over the edits so I think for someone who is used to having so much power over a show, I can’t see her surrendering that power.”

“It would be a huge get, I really don’t think she would do it…I don’t think she would do it as a friend,” Andy added.
