Queen & Adam Lambert to Release First-Ever Live Album!

It was just announced that Queen and Adam Lambert will be releasing their first-ever live concert album!

The 38-year-old former American Idol contestant has been performing with the band since 2009 and now they’ve performed 218 shows around the world with a total audience of 3,659,232 people.

The Live Around the World album will be released on October 2 as both a live concert album and a live concert Blu-ray/DVD. The idea for the live album came after the brand presented an hour-long YouTube show of live highlights from previous tours.

“We hadn’t really watched those clips before, we were always too busy touring,” Roger Taylor said in a statement. “We weren’t aware of how good the band sounded. So we thought, well, maybe there’s a live album of highlights of concerts that we’ve done over the last eight years with Adam Lambert to be made.”

Adam added, “When we couldn’t tour this year we wanted to give the fans something in place of that, and a Live album just felt right. It’s the first time we have released an album together and we have had a lot of fun putting it together, picking out favorite performances over the past seven years.”

Will There Be a 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Sequel? Queen's Roger Taylor Weighs In!

Bohemian Rhapsody was a massive success – so is a sequel in the works?

Queen‘s Roger Taylor spoke out about speculation of a sequel to the Rami Malek-starring blockbuster hit in an interview with Daily Express.

“Right now it’s not something I’d like to see,” the 70-year-old drummer said.

“I don’t think it’s particularly a good idea. Just because something’s been successful, I don’t think one should necessarily have part two. I think that only really worked once and that was with The Godfather!”

“I don’t see a great story there. I think we told the really good story and I wouldn’t like to be thought of, of just putting something out to sort of cash in. So right now, no,” he continued.

Queen‘s Brian May was recently hospitalized after this unusual accident…

Queen's Brian May Hospitalized After Hurting His Butt While Gardening

Brian May has been hospitalized – but he’s doing okay, and it’s not related to the pandemic.

The 72-year-old Queen superstar shared an update for fans on Wednesday (May 6).

“Reality check ! For me. No – the Virus didn’t get me yet – thank God. Hope you’re all keeping extra-safe out there. A decision to relax controls doesn’t suddenly make the danger go away. But me ?? Yes, I’ve been quiet. Reason ? As well as getting over-stretched and harassed by too many demands … I managed to rip my Gluteus Maximus to shreds in a moment of over-enthusiastic gardening,” he revealed.

“So suddenly I find myself in a hospital getting scanned to find out exactly how much I’ve actually damaged myself. Turns out I did a thorough job – this is a couple of days ago – and I won’t be able to walk for a while … or sleep, without a lot of assistance, because the pain is relentless. So, folks … I need to go dark for a while, getting some complete rest, at home. Please, please don’t send me sympathy – I just need some healing silence for a while. I’ll be back – but I need the complete break. OK ? Thanks. Take care out there. Bri,” he continued.

He recently teamed up with his band and Adam Lambert to do this for frontline workers.

We’re wishing Brian May a speedy recovery! See his post…

Adam Lambert & Queen Record New Version of 'We Are The Champions' Dedicated to Frontline Workers

Adam Lambert and Queen re-recorded “We Are The Champions” for a very special group of people – frontline workers.

The musicians recorded their new version of the iconic song from home, where they’re staying home and staying safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Just like we sent our young men and women into two world wars to fight, these young men and women are now fighting for us and risking their lives every day,” guitarist Brian May shared with Rolling Stone about the new version. “That’s what this song has become about. It’s for everyone who is out there working and putting their life at risk.”

There were a few different versions that came out of this team up, however, Adam‘s “You Are the Champions” line won out.

“We told him to experiment and maybe do a few different versions,” Brian shared. “He came up with changing those words in the last chorus and I think it was a very good solution, just perfect. It takes a different turn at the end.”

Listen to the new version, which will benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, below!
