Prince Charles & Duchess Camilla Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have been given the Coronavirus vaccine, Clarence House has confirmed to the BBC.

The 72-year-old royal and his wife, 73, are in the over 70 year old age bracket to qualify them to be vaccinated.

So far in the UK, 12.6 million people in the UK have actually received at least one of the two doses of the vaccine. Right now, the vaccines that are approved require two doses to become fully vaccinated against the original strain of COVID-19.

Prince Charles had Coronavirus back in March of 2020. It’s unclear exactly when he received the vaccine, but as of mid-December, the royal couple had still not received doses of the highly sought after shot.

Two other royals also received the vaccine recently.

Queen Elizabeth II's Trooping The Colour Will Go On in June For 2021 & Mark The Return of the Sussexes

The British Royal Family has planned out some major events for 2021.

After taking a year off from Trooping the Colour due to the pandemic, it’s reported that the Palace has planned to put on the event for this year.

Via The Sunday Times, it’s said that Queen Elizabeth II and her extended family will be back on the famed balcony to celebrate her official birthday celebrations in June.

In 2020, there was a very scaled back event that happened at Windsor Castle, where she and Prince Philip had been isolating instead.

Just a few days after the event, the family is also said to be celebrating Philip‘s 100th birthday.

The occasion could also mark Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s return to the UK, following their official exit as senior royals.

Meghan and Harry are expected to appear with the royal family on the balcony, with aides describing the event as a “family occasion” as well as an official royal event.

“The current plan is for the Queen’s birthday parade to go ahead in London as normal, with the acceptance that it may need to be adapted or scaled back depending on what guidelines are in force at the time,” one royal aide shared. “But the aspiration and the ultimate desire is to make it happen.”

If you haven’t seen, there’s been an update about the relationship with Harry and his brother, Prince William.

Prince George Bakes Up Holiday Pudding With Prince William, Prince Charles & Queen Elizabeth in Sweet Throwback Photos

Prince George stirs up a little holiday cheer in this photo with royal family at Buckingham Palace, which was taken last year.

The sweet photo and memory sees the seven-year-old future King of England with his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, grandfather, Prince Charles and his father, Prince William, as they make special Christmas puddings for the Armed Forces community.

The puddings were put together with the Together at Christmas initiative.

Prince George, the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William were just four of the UK citizens taking part and the puddings were delivered to individuals and families in Spain, Fiji and also to service personnel deployed in Bahrain.

Last year, the Royal British Legion stated that they had gifted 99 Christmas puddings mixed by four generations of the Royal Family to members of the Armed Forces community.

Just last week, the Duke of Cambridge revealed his Christmas card with his family, including George, his siblings Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, and their mother, Kate Middleton. See it here!

Prince George also just attended his first red carpet event earlier this month.

Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, arrive together for a visit at the Gloucestershire Vaccination Centre inside the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Thursday afternoon (December 17) in England.

The royal couple, both 72, met with NHS staff at the vaccination stations and were on hand to hear about the success of the program thus far. The vaccination center has vaccinated more than 1,124 frontline health and care workers as of today.

During their visit Prince Charles opened up about whether he had received the vaccine yet.

“I think I am way down the list and will have to wait,” he admitted to reporters, and added, “I think I’ll have to wait for the AstraZeneca one before it gets to my turn. I’m some way down the list.”

It’s also unclear if Camilla, or Queen Elizabeth have received the vaccine either.

Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus in March, and was in isolation with Camilla at their residence in Scotland during the first lockdown period.

After the first lockdown ended, Camilla and Charles visited the same hospital in June, which was the first engagement outside by any Member of the Royal Family.

At the same time, a group of women celebrating a 50th birthday walked through the lobby. Upon being told why they were there, Prince Charles then went through the line of attendees, greeting each one with an elbow bump.

On the way out, Prince Charles was also given a Christmas Pudding from the hotel as he wished everyone a “Happy Christmas and a better New Year.”
