Angelina Jolie flashes a smirk on the red carpet as she arrived at the 2019 D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) in Anaheim, Calif.

The 44-year-old actress looked chic in a black and sheer dress as she attended the event to promote the upcoming Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Joining Angelina at the event were her co-stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Earlier this week, Angelina was in Seoul, South Korea to drop 18-year-old son Maddox off at college.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the upcoming Disney sequel starring Angelina Jolie, has a brand new poster featuring all of the main cast members.

Angelina is joined on the poster by Elle Fanning (Princess Aurora), Michelle Pfeiffer (Queen Ingrith), Harris Dickinson (Prince Phillip), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Connal), and Ed Skrein.

Mistress of Evil is the sequel to 2014′s hit film Maleficent, which grossed over $750 million at the global box office.

Here’s the sequel’s official synopsis: The years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists. Aurora’s impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds. When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.

The film is the follow-up to the 2014 smash hit movie, with the two stars reprising their roses as Maleficent and Princess Aurora, respectively.

The film also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

In the movie, Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters nationwide on October 18.

Angelina Jolie is featured on a new “triptych” poster for her movie Maleficent: Mistress of Evil alongside co-stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning!

The Oscar-winning actress plays the title character in the upcoming Disney sequel while Elle reprises her role as Princess Aurora and Michelle takes on the role of Queen Ingrith.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora.

The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

The first poster for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to Disney’s Maleficent, has just debuted online and we noticed something about the release date!

Originally, the movie was supposed to be released on May 29, 2020. However, the poster now indicates that the film will be released seven months earlier in October of 2019! In fact, the new release date is now October 18, 2019.

Angelina Jolie is returning to the title role after her debut in the first film back in 2014. Elle Fanning will also be returning, as well as Michelle Pfeiffer, Juno Temple, Ed Skrein, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and more.

The upcoming Joachim Rønning-directed sequel explores “the complex relationship of Maleficent and Aurora continues to be explored as they face new threats to the magical land of the Moors.”

The movie, which co-stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, will be released on May 29, 2020.

Additionally, Sam Riley will return as Diaval, Imelda Staunton will return as Knotgrass, Juno Temple returns as Thistlewit and Lesley Manville returns as Flittle.
