A 9 to 5 sequel is officially in the works – and the main cast is on board to return!

Jane Fonda confirmed the exciting news while attending the 2018 TCA Summer Press Tour on Wednesday (July 25) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The original 1980 film followed three working women – the 80-year-old actress along with Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton – who live out their fantasy of getting even with their antagonistic boss (Dabney Coleman).

“My involvement is an executive producer and together with Lily, we’re working with the writers,” Jane said at the event. “Right now, Dolly, Lily and I are all intending to be in it.”

“I’m sorry to say the situation is worse today,” Jane said referring to sexual harassment in the workplace. “Today, a lot of the workforce [is] hired by an outside company, so if there’s a problem, who do you complain to? Who do you fight with?”

Jane continued: Plus with social media, the Internet, you can be spied on very easily…I do think sexual harassment will tend to drop because guys are scared.”

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is coming to theaters in December and the trailer has been released!

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

Shameik Moore voices the role of Miles. In addition, Jake Johnson will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Hailee Steinfeld will play Spider-Gwen, Mahershala Ali will play Miles’ uncle Aaron, Brian Tyree Henry will play Miles’ father Jefferson, Lily Tomlin will play Aunt May, and Luna Lauren Velez will play Miles’ mom Rio.

Netflix announced back in February that the hit show will be back for a fifth season, with RuPaul set to star as Benjamin Le Day, a “formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.”

There have been rumors of a 9 to 5 reboot movie happening and now Dolly Parton is revealing some details!

The legendary entertainer says that she, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin are all on board to reprise their roles in the reboot and that an idea has already been presented to them.

“I’ve been talking to Lily and Jane … Actually all these years, we’ve talked about doing a sequel to 9 to 5 and it never made any real sense until just recently,” Dolly told Nightline. “We’re trying to get the script and all that. Everybody is very interested and we’ve all agreed that we’d love to do it if it’s right.”

“They presented me with an idea the other day and I said, ‘Yes,’” she said.

Dolly says that the reboot will focus on a group of young women who seek out advice from the original cast. “We’ve all come up with a business of our own,” she said about the original trio. “So they come to find us to get some input on how they should help run” their own business.”

20th Century Fox is exploring the idea of a reboot of the 1980 classic, which would focus on three young women dealing with sexism in the workplace who turn to the original trio (Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin) for help.

Creator Pat Resnick is eager to team with a young writer for the script, and is reportedly eying Rashida Jones according to Deadline.

All three original stars are allegedly eager to participate in a reprise of the original, while Pat, Shawn Levy and Jonathan Baruch of StoryBy Entertainment have already signed on to produce.
