Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda made a joint appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (January 16) and shared their thoughts about Robert Mueller‘s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible Trump campaign collusion.

“We need a good wall that keeps the White House away from the Mueller investigation. And we have every single right to know what the result of that investigation is and if there’s some law that gives someone the right to edit the results, we have to change the law,” the Grace and Frankie co-stars and longtime activists told Jimmy.

“Can you imagine that they’re trying to keep us from knowing who the person is that’s running this country?” Jane added. “Strikes and boycotts and marches and writing your congressman… we can never again elect a leader who pits us against each other. When this is over, we have to come together! All of us, I don’t care what party you belong to.”

Get ready for even more Grace & Frankie!

The popular Netflix series has been renewed for a sixth season to air in 2020 by the streaming service announced on Tuesday (January 15).

The show, which co-stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, was renewed just a few days after its Season 5 premiere. Pre-production for Season 6 is already underway.

In the show, Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) two women whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave them for each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie form an unlikely and unbreakable bond and face their uncertain futures head-on, hand-in-hand. Together with their ex-husbands and children, they discover the true definition of “family,” with laughter, tears and plenty of mood enhancers along the way.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Tuesday (January 15), and reminisce about working working together on their hit film 9 to 5.

The Grace and Frankie co-stars also reveal a script is in the works for a sequel. “We’re trying. We have people writing it… so hopefully,” Jane admitted.

Lily also talks about receiving an offer from Time magazine in 1975 to put her on the front cover and have her come out as gay. “It was a hard decision to make,” she explains. “So I fell down on the side of… probably after what [DeGeneres] went through, probably good sense.”

“I just decided that I wasn’t going to play their game… and I wanted to be recognized for my performance, and I can see in retrospect that was hardly worth it,” Lily quips.

The 40-year-old New Girl actor, the 23-year-old The Get Down star, and the 21-year-old Bumblebee actress joined forces at the event held at Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills on Friday (November 30) in Los Angeles.

Donning a plunging grey pantsuit, Hailee also was joined by her co-stars Mahershala Ali, Luna Lauren Velez, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, and more.

“Very excited to talk about @SpiderVerse and #SpiderGwen today. 💕,” Hailee captioned the Twitter video below that same day.

The animated film follows Spider-Man as he crosses parallel dimensions and teams up with the Spider-Men of those dimensions to stop a threat to all reality. Don’t miss it when it hits theaters on December 14!

Laverne Cox happily strikes a pose with Billy Porter on the red carpet while attending the 2018 Outfest Legacy Awards at Vibiana on Sunday (October 28) in Los Angeles.
