Kathy Griffin is standing up for herself.

The 58-year-old comedian made an appearance to promote her new movie, Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story, on KTLA Channel 5 on Wednesday (October 23).

“By the way, I still do not one single day of paid work ahead of me for the rest of my life, you tell me that’s not because I’m a 58-year-old female in comedy,” she said during her appearance while discussing her work.

“I think there’s a lot of 58-year-old comedians working out there,” Mark Kriski interjected.

“Name five women,” she challenged him, as he stuttered to answer.

“I’m uh…not into the comedy thing,” he responded.

“What’s up with the new guy?” she joked.

“Working in a male-dominated field is something where I deal with that sort of thing every day, so I spend most of my day trying to talk to older white guys and explain I just want to do what I do,” she later went on to say.

It’s red carpet official!

Jennifer Morrison happily posed alongside her new boyfriend Gerardo Celasco while attending HBO’s Post 2019 Emmy Awards Reception held at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center on Sunday (September 22) in Los Angeles.

This is the first time Jennifer and Gerardo have been pictured together at an official event.

The Grace and Frankie co-stars stepped out at the center’s Gold Anniversary Vanguard Celebration on Saturday night (September 21) at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

They were also joined at the event by Kathy Griffin, Jenifer Lewis and Brigitte Nielsen.

Guest at the event enjoyed dinner and entertainment, including a performance from Sia.

Over the past 50 years, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families. It currently provides services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world.

Kathy is one of the voices joining Comedy Central’s revival of Crank Yankers, the puppet prank call show produced by comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla.

The fifth season, premiering September 25, will feature returners from the show’s original 2002-07 run, including Tracy Morgan, Sarah Silverman and David Alan Grier, along with newcomers Tiffany Haddish, Aubrey Plaza, Bobby Moynihan and Abbi Jacobson.

Kathy Griffin paid a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night (August 12) and explained what really inspired her new documentary, A Hell of a Story!

The 58-year-old comedian told Seth that being investigated for potential conspiracy to assassinate the president inspired the Fathom Events film.

“One of the reasons I wanted to make the movie for real, is like, I want you to laugh more than anything, but but I really want you guys to know that what happened to me could happen to you,” Kathy told the audience, explaining how she was “put under a federal investigation by the Secret Service and U.S. Attorney’s office” in the wake of the incident.

“I was on the no-fly list for two months… Interrogated under oath,” Kathy continued. “And they were considering charging me with the crime of conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States, which holds a lifetime sentence.”

“So, one of the things I want you guys to know is — when you go to the airport, I’m sorry to say, they can take your phone. They can take your SIM card. They can take your passport. I filed two FOIAs. I still don’t know what was on my passport,” Kathy Griffin added. “Then I was put on what’s called the Interpol list.”

Kathy Griffin visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (July 31) and dished all about the true story about her Fathom Events film, Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story!

The new documentary film chronicles the unprecedented and historic story of Kathy overcoming a political and media takedown following the release of the controversial Trump photo.

“They were considering very seriously charging me with the crime of conspiracy to assassinate the president of the United States,” Kathy revealed.

Kathy said the photo also led some Trump supporters to believe she was a member of ISIS. When Kimmel asked who thought she was a member of ISIS, Griffin responded, “My mother! She wanted me to join a different club, as she said, because she watches Fox News and she thought it was real.”

Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story is playing in select theaters now.

The 58-year-old comedian has been playing the documentary on the festival circuit ahead of the special one-night-only showing on July 31.

The movie will be playing in 700 theaters across the U.S.
