Dwayne Johnson Plays Santa To Deserving Dad During John Krasinski's 'Some Good News' Holiday Special

Dwayne Johnson is feeling festive in his Santa suit during a special appearance on John Krasinski‘s ‘Some Good News’ Holiday Special.

The Black Adam actor popped in on the program to surprise a deserving dad on the program.

John had invited Jay Abel, a single dad of two who lost his wife several years ago and was selling his comic book merchandise on eBay to pay for his kids’ Christmas gifts.

He revealed to Jay that he had tried to purchase it all of it, but Jay blocked him from doing so because he thought it was a scam.

Dwayne, or “Dwanta Claus” popped in to deliver a special present to Jay.

“I want you to take all of your stuff off of eBay because Dwanta Claus is going to take care of all of that stuff, man!” he told him.

Dwayne also offered to fly Jay and his kids out to Southern California after the pandemic was over to visit the set of Black Adam when it was safe, and he is also going to bind and sign his copy of the film’s script and send it to Jay as his personal gift to him.

“You represent so many parents around the world who are going through the struggle this Christmas,” Dwayne shared with the dad.. “That is why my good buddy, John, and I called some of our elf friends to see if they’re able to help some other families all around the world.”

“You are what the holidays are all about,” he continued. “You embody the spirit. And I feel very confident I can speak for my friend John here in that, you know, the true measure of a man and true measure of a human being truly is always what’s in their heart. Always what’s deep down in their heart, and their mana.”

Dwayne and John also teamed up to donate around $5 million to Toys for Tots so that more deserving children get gifts this holiday season.

The balloon, disguised as real coverage from the parade, was an ad for The Rock‘s upcoming TV comedy, Young Rock, which is set to arrive in 2021.

In the commercial break, Today‘s Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb remarked about the balloon, dressed up in his infamous ’90s blue jeans, fanny pack, silver chain and black turtleneck look used in many memes

Young Rock “follows the wild times of Dwayne as a kid, a teen, and a college footballer,” according to Hoda, while Savannah said that she “can’t wait to see what kind of trouble little D.J. got into.”

“Never in my wildest dreams…I’ve been a lucky SOB to have done some pretty cool s–t in my career, but after seeing my @nbcyoungrock FANNY PACK FLOAT in the #MacysThanksgivingParade, this might take the cake. This time in my life may represent when I had just $7bucks in my fanny pack, but at least I had enough COOL to tuck my turtleneck in and wear fake silver jewelry because it was all I could afford 🤣🤦🏽‍♂️ And my massive plucked raised eyebrow is the stuff that dreams (and nightmares) are made of 😂💀 Float on, kid.. you might just make it one day,” The Rock wrote on Instagram.

If you missed it, here’s who’s going to play him in the upcoming series!

Dwayne Johnson's Moana Song 'You're Welcome' Just Went Platinum Again & His Daughter Tiana Had A Lot To Do With It

Tiana Johnson, Dwayne Johnson‘s third daughter, just helped “You’re Welcome” from Moana go platinum again – or, at least, that’s what Dwayne is convinced of.

Over the weekend, Dwayne celebrated the news on his Instagram and his thank yous, Tiana (nicknamed Tia) gets a big one.

“A huge daddy thank you to the real reason this song is 4Xs Platinum and growing – my 2 year old boss, Baby Tia who LOVES hearing me sing this song to her, but has no idea I’m actually, Maui – which kinda makes this whole thing that much more awesome,” he wrote.

Back in April, Dwayne shared another sweet video of him and Tiana watching the movie, in which he stars as demigod Maui.

A few months later, it seemed that Tiana maybe accepted that her dad was the voice of Maui.

The song going four times platinum means that more than 4 million copies of the single, which was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, have been sold.

Dwayne added at the end of his thank yous, “And one last thing…You’re welcome… and thank you 😉💪🏾.”

Just recently, Moana star Auli’i Cravalho reflected on her time as the powerful Disney character. See what she shared here…

Dwayne Johnson Is Rebooting His First Acting Role, 'The Scorpion King'!

Dwayne Johnson is rebooting his breakout movie, The Scorpion King!

Deadline is reporting that the 48-year-old actor and his ex, Dany Garcia, are teaming up to reboot the franchise with their Seven Bucks Productions.

The original movie centered on a desert warrior who rises up against the evil army that is destroying his homeland.

For the reboot, sources are saying that it will be a contemporary take set in modern times.

The Scorpion King was my very first role ever on the silver screen and I’m honored and excited to reimagine and deliver this cool mythology to a whole new generation,” Dwayne shared in a statement. “I wouldn’t have had the career I’m lucky enough to have had it not been for The Scorpion King and I’m thrilled that we at Seven Bucks Productions can help create those same opportunities for other hard working actors today. I believe Jonathan Herman will put in the hard work to deliver a fantastic script for our global audience.”

Dany added, “The original Scorpion King was a crucial catalyst helping to catapult us into the world of film. To be able to now produce the next iteration as part of our Seven Bucks Productions slate is a special, full circle moment, a testament to what we have been fortunate enough to build for our audience and ultimately a humble reminder of the timeless value of authentic storytelling.”

The Scorpion King was Dwayne‘s first movie role, as he appeared as the character in The Mummy Returns, before going on to star in a spinoff movie.

Dwayne will not be starring in the reboot, as he’s quite a busy man and booked up until 2022!
