Dwayne Johnson Posts First Look at 'Black Adam' Ahead of DC Fandome!

Dwayne Johnson has given fans their first look at him in the upcoming DC Universe movie Black Adam!

The movie is a spinoff of the 2019 hit Shazam. If you didn’t know, Dwayne was in talks to play Black Adam as the movie’s villain, but that didn’t end up coming to fruition. Now, the character is getting his own movie.

Dwayne announced the film last year and said, “Black Adam is blessed by magic with the powers equal to Superman, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. He’s a rebellious, one-of-a-kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people — but he does it his way. Truth and justice — the Black Adam way. This role is unlike any other I’ve ever played in my career and I’m grateful to the bone we’ll all go on this journey together.”

Ahead of the DC Fandom event this weekend, Dwayne shared a teaser video that gave a very brief glimpse if him as the character!

“The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change,” he wrote on Instagram. “Black Adam arrives tomorrow at #DCFanDome. Personally, I salute my Warner Bros and DC partners for creating this historic opportunity for fans to absorb our entire DC universe while we all continue to manage the challenges of COVID. Well done. The man in black is coming to crush them all.”

The Black Adam movie is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021.

Dwayne celebrated a very special day this week and his wife dropped something to mark the occasion.
