Dwayne Johnson is fueling speculation about a future presidential run.
The 48-year-old Fast & Furious star has hinted at running for president for a number of years and a recent poll found that 46% of Americans would support Dwayne‘s presidential run.
According to Newsweek, the poll also asked respondents about other celebrities who could possibly run for president.
Angelina Jolie won the support of 30 percent, Oprah Winfrey received 27 percent and 22 percent supported a presidential bid from Tom Hanks.
Dwayne posted a screenshot from the article to his Instagram on Saturday (April 10).
He captioned the post, “Humbling ๐๐พ๐คฏ. I donโt think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens itโd be my honor to serve you, the people ๐๐พ๐ช๐พ๐บ๐ธ.”
In an interview with Stephen Colbert in 2018, Dwayne teased a potential 2024 or 2028 presidential run, but added that he was looking to gain more experience and a better understanding of policy before seriously committing to a bid for presidency.
