DC FanDome 2020 - Full Schedule Revealed!

The DC FanDome virtual event is coming!

Over 100 hours of content across DC Entertainment’s film, TV and comic book properties will arrive during the 24-hour event on Saturday (August 22).

The filmmakers and casts of The Batman, Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad and the Snyder Cut of Justice League are all set to make appearances, as well as the casts of TV series including DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Black Lightning and The Flash.

The event will also include a performance by Chris Daughtry of his song “Waiting for Superman,” and the premiere of the animated feature Superman: Man of Tomorrow starring Darren Criss, Zachary Quinto, and Alexandra Daddario.

The 24-hour online event will be broken into six areas: the Hall of Heroes, where all the movie-based panels will appear, the WatchVerse, featuring four virtual theaters hosting TV panels, and the Blerd & Boujee House dedicated to Black nerd culture. There’s also the YouVerse, dedicated to fan art and cosplay, InsiderVerse, featuring behind-the-scenes content on the Warner Bros. Studios lot, FunVerse, featuring access to digital comics and merchandise and the DC Kids FanDome, a kid-safe, interactive environment.

Ray Fisher Says Joss Whedon Was 'Abusive' to 'Justice League' Cast & Crew

Ray Fisher is continuing to speak out against Joss Whedon.

After the 32-year-old Justice League star, who plays Cyborg in the DC Universe, announced that he retracted his support for the director earlier in the week, Ray elaborated further on his issues with the 56-year-old director and producer on Wednesday (July 1).

Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by [producers] Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment,” he wrote on Twitter.

If you don’t know the history, Joss stepped in to finish directing Justice League when director Zack Snyder had to step away from the project mid-way through. Zack Snyder‘s version of Justice League will actually been seen by fans soon…

DC Comics' Justice League Dark TV & Movie Projects in the Works

Bad Robot is developing film and TV ideas based on DC ComicsJustice League Dark universe, Deadline reported on Tuesday (January 21).

The company is reportedly developing ideas that are “all very nascent and at this point in time there aren’t any specific projects or characters that are being specifically developed out of the franchise.”

“Bad Robot’s Head of Motion Pictures Hannah Minghella and Head of Television Ben Stephenson will soon be taking meetings with talent reps and their writing clients on which characters will get their own projects,” the report goes on to say.

Justice League Dark, or JLD team, first appeared in the September 2011 issue of Justice League Dark #1 featuring John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man, and Zatanna. The squad grew with characters like Swamp Thing, Andrew Bennett, Black Orchid, Doctor Mist, Frankenstein, Pandora, Nightmare Nurse and more.

The original Justice League includes characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Aquaman and The Flash.

“This is all so early, so it’s not specific yet if Bad Robot boss J.J. Abrams will be directing any of these projects,” the report also clarifies.

Kaley Cuoco Voices Harley Quinn in DC Universe Original Animated Series - Watch the Trailer!

Here’s a synopsis: “Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker (Alan Tudyk) and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City in this half-hour adult animated action-comedy series. The series features Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), and a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe.”

'Swamp Thing' Canceled Less Than a Week After Debuting on DC Universe

Swamp Thing is already canceled less than a week after its premiere on DC Universe.

The show, which premiered on the DC streaming platform less than one week ago, was confirmed to be canceled after just one episode on Thursday (June 6) by Deadline.

The show’s 10-episode run will still play out on the streaming platform.

The news comes after the show was cut down from 13 to 10 episodes, reportedly due to “creative differences,” as well as “questions about the role of the year-old DC Universe in parent company WarnerMedia’s larger streaming plans.”

The show follows Crystal Reed (Abby Arcane), a CDC scientist who returns to her Louisiana hometown to investigate a strange disease ravaging the bayous.

DC Comics Series 'Swamp Thing' Releases Official Trailer - Watch Now!

The trailer for Swamp Thing is here!

The upcoming series, which will air on the DC Universe subscription streaming site beginning on Friday (May 31), released a trailer ahead of the premiere on Tuesday (May 28).

Here’s a plot summary: Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.

Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Jennifer Beals, Maria Sten, Will Patton and Virginia Madsen all star in the series, which will introduce DC characters including Blue Devil (Ian Ziering) and Madame Xanadu (Jeryl Prescott).

Alan Ritchson & Minka Kelly Join DC Comics Series 'Titans'

Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly are set to lead the upcoming DC Comics live-action series Titans!

The actors will portray the romantic couple and crime-fighting vigilantes Hawk and Dove. The roles will be recurring with the option to become series regulars in season two and there is also the potential for a spinoff series, according to Deadline.

Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, and Teagan Croft are already cast in the series as superheroes Dick Grayson, Starfire, and Raven, respectively.

Titans “follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe.”
