'Justice League' Zack Snyder Cut Arriving at HBO Max in March - See the Release Date!

The Zack Snyder cut of Justice League is coming!

The highly anticipated new and original version of the 2017 DC Comics movie will premiere on HBO Max on March 18, WarnerMedia confirmed Friday (January 29), via Variety.

In the film, the greatest DC heroes came together for the first time ever on the big screen, including Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Together, they joined forces to prevent the supervillain Steppenwolf from destroying the Earth.

After its original release, reviews were largely negative for the primarily Joss Whedon-directed film. Zack had to drop out originally due to a family emergency, leading to fans to call for a version of the film with his original vision in mind.

The director also recently revealed the Marvel movie he’d love to make!

The cast of The Sandman has been revealed!

The highly anticipated Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s DC Comics series revealed its star-studded cast on Thursday (January 28).

The dark fantasy show will star Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry and Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Per Deadline, the series is described as “a rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven…The Sandman the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he tries to fix all the cosmic and human mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.”

“For the last thirty-three years, the Sandman characters have breathed and walked around and talked in my head. I’m unbelievably happy that now, finally, they get to step out of my head and into reality. I can’t wait until the people out there get to see what we’ve been seeing as Dream and the rest of them take flesh, and the flesh belongs to some of the finest actors out there,” said Neil Gaiman in a statement.

“This is astonishing, and I’m so grateful to the actors and to all of The Sandman collaborators — Netflix, Warner Bros., DC, to Allan Heinberg and David Goyer, and the legions of crafters and geniuses on the show — for making the wildest of all my dreams into reality.”

All of these Netflix shows just got renewed in 2021.

Warner Bros. Reveals Plans for Lots of Upcoming DC Comics Movies & TV Shows!

A new report is revealing all of the exciting movies and TV shows that Warner Bros. is preparing for the DC Comics Extended Universe.

DC Films president Walter Hamada spoke to the New York Times for a feature this weekend in which the plans were unveiled.

The report says that starts in 2022, fans can expect up to four DC movies to be released in theaters every year and two additional DC movies will be released annually on HBO Max.

“The most expensive DC movies are designed for release in theaters,” the report said. Movies “focused on riskier characters like Batgirl and Static Shock” will arrive exclusively on the streaming service.

DC Films is also working on developing TV series that will run on HBO Max and be connected to the big-screen movies. Hamada said, “With every movie that we’re looking at now, we are thinking, ‘What’s the potential Max spinoff?’”

Ava DuVernay Teams Up With 'Arrow' Writer for CW Series Based on DC Character Naomi!

There’s a new DC Comics series coming, and Ava Duvernay is helping to pen the production!

The 48-year-old Selma filmmaker is set to team up with former Arrow writer and executive producer Jill Blankenship on a show for The CW based on Naomi, Variety reported Friday (December 4).

The series, called Naomi, follows “a teen girl’s journey from her small northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse. When a supernatural event shakes her hometown to the core, Naomi sets out to uncover its origins, and what she discovers will challenge everything we believe about our heroes.”

The character first debuted in her own standalone comic book series in 2019. In the comics, Naomi had energy-based powers, plus the ability to transform into a superpowered form that granted her incredible strength and other abilities.

The CW recently revealed the shows on their network heading for renewal and cancellation…

Robert Pattinson is the Caped Crusader in First 'The Batman' Trailer - Watch Now!

The trailer for the highly anticipated The Batman has been released!

Director Matt Reeves debuted the trailer during the 2020 DC Fandome virtual fan convention on Saturday (August 22).

The trailer shows Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne out on a mission while wearing his Batman suit as one of the villains is sending him messages all across Gotham City.

The trailer also gives a glimpse of Zoe Kravitz wearing her catsuit while playing Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.

The cast also includes Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Peter Sarsgaard in a not-yet-known role.

According to Matt, the movie takes place about two years into Bruce Wayne’s career as Batman, a time when he’s still just a masked vigilante. Matt stressed that Bruce isn’t Batman just yet, but there are people “who are afraid of him, quite frankly.”

The Batman is currently still in production and is scheduled to be released on March 4, 2022.

Zachary Levi Announces Official Title for 'Shazam!' Sequel!

The Shazam! sequel has an official title!

Zachary Levi and co-stars Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Meagan Good, and Adam Brody joined director David F. Sandberg during the 2020 DC FanDomee virtual fan convention on Saturday (August 22).

While they didn’t give away a lot of info about the sequel, they did announce that it will be titled Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

Also during the virtual panel, it was announced that Sinbad is joining the cast!

“Sinbad, are you in Shazam 2?” Zachary asked.

“You tell me, John Krazinski, am I? Because everybody though I was in ‘Shazam 1’ before it even existed — Google it,” Sinbad joked, referencing internet theories that he’d starred in a comedy about a genie called “Shazam” in the 1990s.

In the end, Sinbad did confirm that he will be appearing in the Shazam sequel.

As of right now, Shazam: Fury of the Gods is scheduled to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.

The highly anticipated Robert Pattinson-led DC Comics movie was teased by director Matt Reeves on Thursday (August 20).
