Laura Dern Reveals How Long She Was Inside, In Person at Golden Globes 2021 After Presenting

Laura Dern presents on stage at the 2021 Golden Globes held at The Beverly Hilton on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The amazing actress got to present the first award of the night to Daniel Kaluuya! If you missed it, Daniel almost missed his big acceptance speech moment for a huge streaming fail.

After presenting the award, Laura recorded a video from outside of the Golden Globes. You may have noticed, the Globes look a lot different this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic! The show is taking place live from two separate coasts, and the celebrities cannot gather together.

Laura revealed that she was inside for about seven minutes – a huge difference between previous Golden Globes where presenters obviously stayed at the show for the duration.

FYI: Laura is wearing Givenchy.

Golden Globes 2021 Streaming Fail Almost Ruined Daniel Kaluuya's Winning Moment!

Daniel Kaluuya won a Golden Globe for his work in Judas and the Black Messiah, but he almost suffered a major devastating moment after receiving the first award of the night.

As Laura Dern presented him with the award, the camera cut to him to make his acceptance speech.

Shortly after that happened, it appeared as if Daniel was freezing up and talking but there was absolutely no sound. Well, it was a major technical difficulty. The camera cut back to Laura, and it appeared as if he wouldn’t be giving his acceptance speech for his amazing performance!

Daniel Kaluuya Reveals He Wasn't Invited To The Premiere of 'Get Out'

Daniel Kaluuya is opening up about his absence at the Sundance premiere of Get Out back in 2017.

The 31-year-old actor was a guest on The Graham Norton Show this week and told the host that the reason behind him not being there was entirely because he wasn’t invited.

“No, they didn’t invite me, bro. They didn’t invite me,” Daniel shared. “[During] the Sundance world premiere [of Get Out], I was in Atlanta because I was shooting [Black] Panther.”

However, filming the Marvel movie wasn’t going to stop Daniel from coming, until it kind of did.

“… And I cleared my schedule and I was like, ‘Yo, I really wanna do it.’ And then [I] just didn’t get an invite. I wasn’t invited.”

Daniel did say that someone from the Get Out crew texted him from the event: “So I was just in my bed when somebody texts me, ‘Oh, it’s done really well.’ I’m like, ‘Alright, that’s cool. That’s alright.’”

His role as Chris Washington earned Daniel much praise and accolades, including an Oscar nomination.

The no invitation didn’t hurt his relationship with director Jordan Peele though it seems, as the duo are teaming back up for a new project.
