Tracee Ellis Ross strikes a pose as she makes her way outside of the Good Morning America studios on Thursday morning (September 5) in New York City.

The Golden Globe winning actress stopped by to discuss the upcoming Black-ish spin-off series, mixed-ish, and the launch of her new hair care brand, Pattern Beauty.

“@patternbeauty is here to empower and nourish curly, coily and tight-textured hair,” Tracee wrote in a statement on her Instagram. “3b to 4c. The formulas are unique and packed with luscious & safe ingredients-trust me I know, because my panel and I tried 74 different samples to get these 7 formulas for phase one.⁠”

Tracee Ellis Ross introduced a clip of mixed-ish saying, “the beauty of the tapestry of this country and the world that we live in is that there are so many different kinds of people, different cultures, different traditions and that’s what makes this world so beautiful. And then, the humanity that connects us. We all have that heart that is the same place.”

The upcoming show follows a young Rainbow Johnson (Tracee) as she remembers her experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the 1980′s.

The evening before, Tracee Ellis Ross stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers and talked about the inspiration behind mixed-ish, casting the younger version of her Black-ish character and starting a new hair care company.

Tika, Christina Anthony, Arica Himmel, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Ethan Williams Childress joined Yara, Tracee, Anthony Anderson, Miles Brown, Jenifer Lewis, and Laurence Fishburne at the panel event.

grown-ish star Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Jordan Buhat, Diggy Simmons, and Chloe and Halle Bailey were there as well.

Tracee Ellis Ross brought her upcoming show mixed-ish to the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour!

The 46-year-old actress and executive producer stepped out for ABC’s portion of the event on Monday afternoon (August 5) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

She was also joined by her co-stars Christina Anthony, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Arica Himmel, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Tika Sumpter, Ethan William Childress and Gary Cole as well as creator Peter Saji and producer Karin Gist.

During the panel, Karin revealed that Mariah Carey, who sings the show’s theme song, would like to take part in an episode.

“She’s wanting to do an episode, so hopefully that can work,” Karin told the audience.

In a statement, Mariah added, “As a fan of Kenya Barris’ megahit shows, black-ish and grown-ish, I was inspired to connect with Kenya to find a way we could work together. As a biracial woman in the entertainment industry, there was no way I did not want to be a part of ‘mixed-ish,’ especially after seeing the pilot, which I loved. I could not be more honored and proud to be writing and performing ‘In the Mix’ for Kenya and the show.”

Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Ice Cube are getting ready to work.

The three stars were all spotted arriving to the set of their new movie Covers on Tuesday (July 15) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The Nisha Ganatra-directed movie is described as a love story set in the Los Angeles music industry, and is set to be released sometime in 2020. Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Zoe Chao are also set to co-star.

The actor celebrated his milestone birthday on Saturday night (July 6) at TAO restaurant in Hollywood, Calif.

Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross share a laugh while filming a scene for their new movie Covers on Sunday (June 23) in Los Angeles.

The two stars were seen sitting in the front seats of a convertible while filming for the day on location.

Covers is a love story set in the L.A. music industry, and there’s no set release date at this time. Stay tuned as we learn more!
