Loki is huge!

The Marvel series starring Tom Hiddleton made its debut on Disney+ on Wednesday (July 9), and it’s safe to say it’s a hit.

Loki made a huge impact with it’s premiere episode and unraveled one of history’s biggest mysteries – D.B. Cooper.

If you’re unfamiliar, the mystery of who D.B. Cooper is starts in November of 1971, when a man who called himself Dan Cooper, boarded a plane to Seattle.

After the plane took off, he handed a note to one of the air stewards, saying that he had a bomb in his briefcase and proceeded to hijack it, and demanded four parachutes and $200,000 in $20 bills.

When the flight landed in Seattle, Cooper exchanged the plane’s passengers for the money and parachutes and, with only some of the crew still on board the plane with him, headed towards Mexico City. However, he jumped out during the flight with the money and was never heard from again.

Loki director Kate Herron is sharing her thoughts.

Marvel Studios released a new teaser for the series that features a conversation between Loki and Mobius (Owen Wilson). During the clip, a shot focuses on Loki’s TVA file, which lists his sex as “fluid.”

Kate spoke with Insider on Tuesday (June 8) about the show and why it was “important” to include that detail about the character.

We’re just hours away from the premiere of Loki on Disney+!

The starting point of the series is the moment in Avengers: Endgame when the 2012 Loki takes the Tesseract—from there Loki lands in the hands of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), which is outside of the timeline, concurrent to the current day Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In his cross-timeline journey, Loki finds himself a fish out of water as he tries to navigate—and manipulate—his way through the bureaucratic nightmare that is the Time Variance Authority and its by-the-numbers mentality.

This is Loki as you have never seen him. Stripped of his self proclaimed majesty but with his ego still intact, Loki faces consequences he never thought could happen to such a supreme being as himself. In that, there is a lot of humor as he is taken down a few pegs and struggles to find his footing in the unforgiving bureaucracy of the Time Variance Authority.

As the series progresses, we see different sides of Loki as he is drawn into helping to solve a serious crime with an agent of the TVA, Mobius, who needs his “unique Loki perspective” to locate the culprits and mend the timeline.

Only Loki can help…or maybe not. It remains to be seen.

Loki will premiere at 12 am PT/3 am ET on Disney+.

Tom Hiddleston suited up sharp for the screening of his new Disney+ series, Loki, in London on Tuesday night (June 8).

The 40-year-old actor was joined at the London screening by co-star Sophia Di Martino, for the series screening.

Meanwhile, Owen Wilson and Kevin Feige were on hand at the premiere event in Los Angeles the same day, and Tom called into the event and surprised fans with the second episode of the show.

Loki centers on the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and gets involved with the TVA.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant also star in the show, which premieres on Wednesday, June 9 on Disney+. New episodes will premiere every Wednesday.

Tom Hiddleston is sharing his thoughts on the photos that revealed Matt Damon is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Fake Loki!

Matt was recently spotted in costume alongside some other big stars while filming a scene for Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia.

The scene is a play within the play that will also feature Luke Hemsworth as Thor, his brother Chris‘ character, and Melissa McCarthy as Hela, the character played by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok.
