Here’s a plot summary: in Superman & Lois, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel AKA Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Bitsie Tulloch), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

The CW and Warner Bros revealed the first glimpse of Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent and Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane from the forthcoming series Superman & Lois, which will premiere on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 on The CW.

“From the very beginning, going back to when she was introduced in 1938, Lois Lane as a character defied society’s expectations of how women should behave. Women at that point were more typically portrayed as demure, but Lois was always opinionated and unapologetic and uncompromising and a career-woman. Part of why she has remained so compelling for so many years is that she’s also vulnerable and fallible, romantic, and goofy, and a clutz — I just find her really appealing,” said Bitsie.
“I find Lois inspiring in how little she gives a crap about what anyone thinks of her. She’s not doing the work for glory or more Pulitzers, she’s doing it because she believes in justice and truth. She is incredibly driven and determined and hard-working, and she really embodies the aphorism ‘be the change you wish to see in the world.’ She is not intimidated by anyone. She wants to save the world with words.”
Earlier in the week, the first look image was released of Tyler in the brand new Superman suit, and he opened up about what the suit means and taking that responsibility.

The 33-year-old actor showed off his new Superman suit while filming a few scenes on Wednesday (December 9) in Vancouver, Canada.
In between scenes, Tyler was seen staying safe in a black face mask while all bundled up in a black winter coat.
Tyler also opened up about the new Superman suit in a new press release.
“I find that the new suit is representative of the show,” Tyler shared. “Just as this suit is unique and set apart from the ones that preceded it, the story we’re telling about Clark/Superman at this point in his life is unique and something we’ve never seen before. I appreciate the opportunity to wear the suit and the responsibility that comes with it.”
Tyler and Elizabeth Tulloch will reprise their roles as the title characters, as the series centers on the couple as they “deal with all of the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents to two teenage sons in today’s society.”

Superman & Lois have found their children!
Jordan Elsass (left) and Alexander Garfin (right) will portray the children of Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch‘s characters in the upcoming CW series, reports Deadline.
Jordan will be playing Jonathan, a clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated.
Alexander will play Jordan, who is wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games.
Superman & Lois has been picked up to series and can likely be expected to premiere this fall!
The CW is developing another superhero series to be part of the Arrow-verse!
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming television series Superman & Lois.
The series is “described as revolving around the world’s most famous super hero and comics’ most famous journalist deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society,” according to THR.
Greg Berlanti is producing the series and former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing will write the script and executive produce the series, if it is picked up.
Tyler and Elizabeth play the roles of Superman and Lois Lane on Supergirl.
