Taylor Kitsch & Andrea Riseborough Are Joined By 'Waco' Survivor David Thibodeau at Paley Screening!

Taylor Kitsch happily poses alongside his co-star Andrea Riseborough while attending the premiere screening of their new mini-series WACO held at The Paley Center for Media on Wednesday (January 24) in New York City.

The 36-year-old actor and Andrea, 36, were joined at the event by their cast mates Rory Culkin and Michael Shannon, as well as creators John Erick and Drew Dowdle.

Taylor and the crew were also joined by real-life Waco survivor David Thibodeau, who wrote the biographical account A Place Called Waco that serves as half of the miniseries’ source material.

David Thibodeau, specifically, every department called him and talked to him for hours and hours,” the Dowdle brothers revealed. “The art department was like, ‘Okay, what kind of ceiling did you guys have? Was it wood or was it…? What were the doors like on the men’s floor?’ He’d be like, ‘Oh, men didn’t have doors. They had sheets hanging in front.’ It was just all these little details that made it really real. And then every actor, on the Branch Davidian side at least, would sit with Thibodeau, and [say], ‘Okay, what was my character like?’ And he’d say, ‘Your character, this guy loved the sound of nature and spent all this time watching birds and listening.’ Or whatever it was, really, his memory of these people was so specific and so real, it gave everyone a lot to work with. ‘Rachel, she was really strong. Lead wife and head mother, and she would give it back to David as much as she would take.’ You know, there’s key things that helped in the script, but for the actors also, and production design and wardrobe and just everything.”

Melissa Benoist Addresses 'Supergirl' Producer Andrew Kreisberg Firing: 'That Was A Major Disappointment'

Melissa Benoist has addressed how the firing of Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg has affected the series, following his sexual harassment allegations.

“That was a major disappointment, and the irony was not lost on me,” the 29-year-old actress expressed (via People) while speaking at the panel for her new mini-series Waco during the Paramount Network portion of the 2018 Winter TCA Tour on Monday (January 15) in Pasadena, Calif.

“I have to say that the way our show has recovered as a cast and a crew together, we have an atmosphere on set now that I’m extremely proud of and there are a lot of amazing men that work on our show, and we have a lot of amazing women that are in powerful positions on our show as well,” Melissa added. “Now one of our co-showrunners is a female, [Jessica Queller], and the executive producer Sarah Schechter. We’re all in the fight for equality and for a safer atmosphere in the working space.”

Melissa was joined at the panel by her co-stars Taylor Kitsch, Paul Sparks, Andrea Riseborough, Julia Garner and Rory Culkin.

Also attending a panel for their series Yellowstone were Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and Gil Birmingham.
