Hulu Is Getting One of the Year's Most Acclaimed Foreign Films!

Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which is one of the most acclaimed foreign films of the past year, is being added to Hulu much earlier than expected!

The movie was still playing in theaters when theaters around the country had to shut down due to the current health crisis. Now, Hulu will start streaming it on Friday, March 27.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire, directed by Céline Sciamma, debuted at Cannes and was the winner of Best Screenplay and the Queer Palm at festival. The movie was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes, the Independent Spirit Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Awards. The movie has a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Here’s a synopsis: Set in France, 1760, Marianne (Noémie Merlant) is commissioned to paint the wedding portrait of Héloïse (Adèle Haenel), a young woman who has just left the convent. Because she is a reluctant bride-to-be, Marianne arrives under the guise of companionship, observing Héloïse by day and secretly painting her by firelight at night. As the two women orbit one another, intimacy and attraction grow as they share Héloïse’s first moments of freedom. Héloïse’s portrait soon becomes a collaborative act of and testament to their love.

Louis Vuitton's Star-Studded Campaign Turns Fashion Into a Novel with 24 Fun Book Covers!

The new Louis Vuitton campaign is here and it features a star-studded cast of actors, singers, and models on book and film covers.

American Horror Story co-stars Billie Lourd and Cody Fern appear together on the “Secret Spell” cover while Sophie Turner takes the cover of “The Devil’s Mansion.”

More stars featured in the campaign include Emma Roberts, Alicia Vikander, Chloe Moretz, Laura Harrier, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Samara Weaving, Jennifer Connelly, Lea Seydoux, Angelica Ross, Stacy Martin, Kelsey Asbille, Doona Bae, Zhong Chuxi, Yaya, Noemie Merlant, Deepika Padukone, Woodkid, Rinko Kikuchi, Jaden Smith, and Robyn.

The fashion brand is playing with the idea that “fashion is a novel” with the new campaign.

“To illustrate this collection – a term that works just as well with fashion as it does with literature or on the big screen – the House’s muses proudly take to book covers or film posters as protagonists, fitting perfectly into Louis Vuitton’s history and brilliantly embracing the role of adventurer,” the fashion house said in a statement.
