Melissa Rivers dons a beautiful, black gown at the 2015 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (February 8) in Los Angeles.

The 47-year-old television personality brought along her son Cooper as her date for the evening and took some adorable pictures with him on the red carpet.

Melissa Rivers is officially suing Yorkville Endocsopy over her mom Joan Rivers‘ untimely death last year.

“The level of medical mismanagement, incompetency, disrespect and outrageous behavior is shocking and frankly, almost incomprehensible,” Melissa says in the lawsuit (via TMZ). “Not only did my mother deserve better, every patient deserves better.”

Not only has Melissa sued the clinic, she has also sued her mother’s personal doctor Gwen Korovin as she should never have been allowed in the room where the procedure was performed.

“Had doctors acted as physicians for Joan Rivers instead of groupies, Joan Rivers would have been doing Fashion Police last week,” said one family lawyer Jeffrey Bloom (via NY Daily News).

The 46-year-old television personality was joined at the event by her fellow E! family Maria Menounos, Giuliana Rancic, and Joel McHale.

“My mother was fearless,” Melissa said during a tribute to Joan. “She was willing to say what others were thinking. She thought of herself as a comic and had to be funnier than everyone else. She just wanted to do her job and that was to make people laugh.”

“If my mother were here this morning she would not only be grateful and proud but she would be beyond herself,” Melissa added. “On behalf of my mother, thank you so, so much for this wonderful honor.”

Joan Rivers‘ Twitter account has remained silent since her untimely death over the summer and now her daughter Melissa Rivers has taken over the account after figuring out the password.

“I finally figured out my mom’s password HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Xo Melissa,” she wrote to her mom’s fans.

A source told Page Six that Melissa will be holding a Thanksgiving dinner tonight at her mom’s Upper East Side apartment.

“Melissa is hosting the dinner in honor of Joan, and to continue a tradition she did every year. Joan would welcome her friends, relatives and anyone who might not have family members in New York to a Thanksgiving dinner at her home,” the source said. “Her table seats 50 people, and each year everyone had to stand up and tell the table what they were thankful for. This year, it will be sad without Joan, but Melissa wants the occasion to be a happy one, to remember her mother and everything she did for other people.”

Kathy Griffin is reportedly set to replace Joan Rivers on the panel of Fashion Police, according to TMZ.

Also set to join the show is Joan‘s daughter Melissa Rivers, who has been an executive producer on the series over the years, but has not been a regular panelist.

Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic are reportedly set to return to the show, but fellow panelist George Kotsiopoulos‘ fate has not yet been determined.

Fashion Police will no longer be a weekly series on E! and will instead air around awards shows and other major events.

Melissa Rivers has taken to social media after her mother Joan‘s cause of death was revealed.

“In response to NYC’s Medical examiner’s report, we continue to be saddened by our tragic loss. No further comment at this time,” the 46-year-old TV personality tweeted.

Earlier in the day, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner released a statement confirming “the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy.”

“As my son Cooper and I mourn the loss of my mother, we want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards and flowers conveying heartfelt messages and condolences, which continue to arrive from around the world and through social media. My mother would have been overwhelmed by the scope and depth of the love that people have expressed for her. It is certainly helping to lift our spirits during this time,” the 46-year-old television personality shared.

She added, “We are forever grateful for your kindness and support in continuing to honor my mother’s legacy, and for remembering the joy and laughter that she brought to so many.”
