The co-stars were joined at the premiere of their Starz series by fellow cast mates Raul Castillo, Luis Bordonada, Adrian Gonzales, Carlos Miranda, Chelsea Rendon, Roberta Colindrez, Ser Anzoategui, and Erika Sota.

Also stepping out for the premiere was Cara Santana and Jesse Metcalfe.

Vida is a half-hour drama series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity.

Season two premieres on Sunday night, May 26 on Starz.

Jamie Dornan has landed his next movie role in Benjamin Millepied‘s new movie Carmen.

Melissa Barrera is also set to star in the movie in the title role, with Jamie portraying Aidan.

“’Carmen’ is the opera of my childhood. Growing up, it was an ever-present part of my musical beginnings. It has inspired me greatly as an artist,” Benjamin, a former principal dancer from the New York City Ballet who is now married to Natalie Portman, said in a statement (via Variety). “For many years, I have been passionate about creating a film musical, and ‘Carmen’ presents an incredibly exciting opportunity for exploring dance and music onscreen.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda has announced the two female leads for the In the Heights movie!

The movie, which was originally a musical written by and starring Lin for Broadway, will star Leslie Grace as Nina and Melissa Barrera as Vanessa.

The ladies are joining previously announced Corey Hawkins as Benny and Anthony Ramos as Usnavi.

“We film this summer. Uptown. Right here In The Heights. …More soon!,” Lin-Manuel tweeted as part of his casting announcement. Jon M. Chu is set to direct the film.
