Rachel Bilson and her The O.C. co-star Melinda Clarke both responded to the bombshell interview Mischa Barton recently gave about why she decided to leave the hit show.
If you missed it, in mid-May, Mischa told her entire side of the story. On “Welcome to The O.C., Bitches” podcast, Rachel and Melinda responded directly.

Rachel Bilson is back with one of her The O.C. co-stars!
The 39-year-old actress took to Instagram on Friday (February 19) to share a selfie with her former co-star Melinda Clarke.
“#FBF???? 🤔 wait for it….. #eternalsummer #covidsafe,” Rachel captioned the below selfie.
If you forgot, Rachel and Melinda starred together on all four seasons of The O.C. from 2003 to 2007. Rachel played Summer Roberts, while Melinda played Julie Cooper, the mother of Mischa Barton‘s character, Marissa Cooper.
As of right now, it’s unclear if Rachel and Melinda are working on a new project together or if they were just catching up.
This isn’t the first The O.C. co-star Rachel hung out with lately. Back in 2019 she randomly bumped into this former co-star at the airport!

The trio were joined by their co-stars Melinda Clarke and Aaron Stanford to dish to their fans about the upcoming season of their show.
It was revealed that Devon Sawa and Noah Bean will be promoted to series regulars, with Noah‘s character causing conflict with Nikita (Maggie).
“I think Nikita being behind a desk all day would have been less interesting for [fans], so as partners, there’s a [new] dynamic,” Maggie said (via EW). “As you know, Nikita has a huge problem with authority, and she has a new boss now…So she’s gotta make – this is not sexual – Ryan happy…They’re two characters with strong convictions. So we’ll see what happens there.”
FYI: Maggie is wearing a Raquel Allegra dress and Valentino shoes. Lyndsy is wearing a top and skirt by The Hellers with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a Lauren Merkin clutch. Melinda is wearing J. Brand Jeans, a Contrarian top, Lana Jewelry earrings, and Eric Rutberg heels.

Melinda Clarke is about to vamp it up on the CW’s Vampire Diaries!
The 40-year-old actress, best known for her role on The O.C. as gold-digging prima donna Julie Cooper, will begin a stint of at least three episodes starting this March.
Melinda will play Kelly Donovan, Matt’s hard-drinking and irresponsible mom, according to EW.
Vampire Diaries will be back with all-new episodes on Thursday, January 21!
