Oprah Winfrey's Magazine Will Stop Publishing in Print at the End of 2020

Oprah Winfrey‘s monthly magazine will soon stop printing.

O, The Oprah Magazine magazine will stop being published in print after its December 2020 issue, Business of Fashion reports.

A rep for Hearst Magazines then shared that the brand is not going away, but it will become “more digitally centric.”

“As the brand celebrates twenty years of O, The Oprah Magazine, we’re thinking about what’s next, but again the partnership and the brand are not going away,” the rep shared with THR. “This is a natural next step for the brand, which has grown to an online audience of 8 million, extending its voice and vision with video and social content. We will continue to invest in this platform as the brand grows and evolves into one that is more digitally centric.”

O published its first issue in April 19, 2000. As of 2020, the average paid circulation for the magazine was 2.2 million copies and a print audience of 10 million.

“I’m proud of this team and what we have delivered to our readers over the past 20 years,” Oprah said in a statement. “I look forward to the next step in our evolution.”

If you missed it, Oprah recently made a second huge donation to the pandemic relief efforts.

Joey King Poses for a Zoom Photo Shoot for New Magazine Cover!

Joey King poses with her dog Angel on the cover of S Magazine‘s Summer 2020 issue.

The 20-year-old The Kissing Booth 2 actress completed the photo shoot at home via zoom during the pandemic. “We were both giggling through the whole thing because we’d never done anything like it before,” she said of working with photographer Leeor Wild.

Here is what she had to share with the mag:

On life in quarantine: “I’ve been emotionally going through ups and downs, but I am a very fortunate person and I try to count that every day.”

On having fun with fashion: “I love to have fun with my style, but lately, I’ve been gravitating towards elegance and looks that feel timeless. Every now and then, I throw in something that’s a little trippy, like Iris van Herpen—she’s one of my absolute favourite designers.”

On being an executive producer on TKB2: “It’s really nice to be part of a new side of filmmaking. I’ve always been interested in producing and getting a little bit behind the camera, because I love this industry and I love film- making so much, I want to know every aspect of it.”

On projects she’s working on in the future: “I have so many wonderful people to turn to for advice and for guidance, and I have a lot of experience under my belt, but I think just getting more knowledge is never a bad thing… My taste is changing so much in even the past three years, and so I think I want to let my taste develop even a little bit more before I decide to put my vision into something that’s watchable.”

Pregnant Ciara Opens Up About Husband Russell Wilson Not Being Able To Be In The Room With Her For an Ultrasound

Ciara is opening up about going through her third pregnancy amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The 34-year-old singer talked with British Vogue for their new August 2020 issue. Here’s what she had to say:

On going to the hospital for her ultrasound: “I wanted to be really cautious. I had a little ziplock bag of gloves for the appointment and then I had my mask. When I went from one room to the other, I switched to a new pair of gloves. When the image of the baby came on the screen, I FaceTimed Russ in the car so that he could see. We women carry the baby, but for my husband, being in the room and listening to the heartbeat in real time is one of his ways of connecting. For him not to be part of that was a symbol of this time that we’re living through.”

On parenting during Covid-19 lockdown: “That break in the day when you send your kids to school is a luxury. We’re trying all kinds of stuff to keep them both occupied. The other day I got in the car with Sienna and drove her past some horses for a change of scenery.”

On the importance of having a father figure: “The males presence is very important for both boys and girls. Your son gets to see how his dad treats a woman, and your daughter gets to see how you are loved. I’m a daddy’s girl, and my dad’s love is what saved me in situations in my life when I could have taken a left turn.”

Ciara and Russell are expecting their second child together this year. They share Sienna, 3. Ciara also has a son, Future, 6, from a previous relationship.

If you missed it, Ciara shared another baby bump photo while wearing a cute pink bikini. See it now!

Dua Lipa Reveals How She & Anwar Hadid Are Getting Through the Pandemic (& What They're Watching!)

Dua Lipa is on the cover of Elle magazine’s May 2020 issue, on newsstands on April 28.

Here’s what the 24-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag…

On releasing Future Nostalgia during the pandemic: “But I think [the leak] just kind of solidified my choice that I wanted it to be out April 3 anyway. This is me going into my celestial beliefs, but it was like, Okay, this is just how it’s meant to be. And I am really grateful that the music is out. The way I write my music, I’m always very open, and I allow myself to be vulnerable. And I feel now more than ever that it’s brought me closer to my listeners. I think it’s important to talk about your emotions and to be vulnerable and to show that you’re human.”

On her quarantine life with Anwar Hadid: “Oh my God, I’ve watched so many shows—Ozark, Tiger King, The Night Of, The Outsider, Servant, did I say Ozark? And lots of movies, too. It’s about making things fun, coming up with different recipes, trying out things that we’ve never done before. Of course Anwar misses his family, and soon we’ll hopefully get to go back and see them…but now that we get all this extra time, we’re just making the most of it. And that’s been really nice. We’re trying to see the bright side.”

On her predictions for our post pandemic existence: “I think things will definitely change. I think we’ll tread differently with Mother Nature—we won’t be as careless as we have been. I think we’ll be more empathetic and make moments count. We won’t take things for granted. I think our world is probably going to change forever.”

Mark Ruffalo Has an Idea for Hulk Standalone Movie

Mark Ruffalo is on the cover of Variety‘s new issue.

Here’s what the 52-year-old actor had to share with the mag…

On the possibility of a Hulk stand-alone movie: “There’s an idea that I think could be really interesting. We’ve never really followed him into his life. He’s always kind of off on the side. He’s like the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the Avengers. It’d be interesting to fill in all the blanks about what happened to him in between all these movies.”

On the disproportionate impact of coronavirus on blue-collar Americans: “I shudder to think the depth of suffering that’s going to come with this, economically speaking. Even in New York City so many people are living hand to mouth, paycheck to paycheck.”

On how spending time in nature as a child informed his environmental activism: “Growing up, it was such an important part of finding myself. It was the place I felt I belonged. It was the place I was moved by. Those things have pushed me to activism.”

Kanye West Will Vote in 2020 Election: 'We Know Who I'm Voting On'

Kanye West is on the cover of GQ magazine’s May 2020 issue, on newsstands April 21.

Here’s what the entertainer had to share with the mag…

On his friend, Kobe Bryant:Kobe was one of my best friends. There’s one street that I drive to go from either my office or my home to the property where the domes were built. [Ed note: The street is Las Virgenes Road, the site of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and eight other people just four days prior to this meeting.] So now there’s no way for me not to be as determined as Kobe every time I drive down that street. It’s game time…This is a game changer for me. He was the basketball version of me, and I was the rap version of him, and that’s facts!…No one else can say this. We came up at the same time, together. And now it’s like, yeah, I might have had a reputation for screaming about things—but I’m not taking any mess for an answer now. We’re about to build a paradigm shift for humanity. We ain’t playing with ’em. We bringing home the trophies.”

On politics: “Black people are controlled by emotions through the media. The media puts musicians, artists, celebrities, actors in a position to be the face of the race, that really don’t have any power and really are just working for white people…So let me say this: I am the founder of a $4 billion organization, one of the most Google-searched brands on the planet, and I will not be told who I’m gonna vote on because of my color. I’m definitely voting this time. And we know who I’m voting on.” (If you don’t know, Kanye West didn’t vote in the 2016 election.)

On music: “I was thinking of not rapping again, because I rapped for the devil so long that I didn’t even know how to rap for God. And the last thing I ever said on [the Saint Pablo] tour was, ‘The show’s over.’ Which felt like my mom talking through me…Like, ‘My son is not just here to fill up these sports arenas. My son’s got something else to do.”
