Dominic West returned home to his wife Catherine FitzGerald and their four children on Monday night (October 12) after photos of him kissing his co-star Lily James emerged.

The photos of the 50-year-old actor and 31-year-old actress quickly went viral, and Catherine was reportedly “shocked” by the images she saw.

Well, on Tuesday (October 13), Dominic and Catherine emerged from their home and put on a united front. They kissed for the onlookers and media who had gathered out front, and made a short statement. Fans are noting that they kept their hands in their pockets to hide their left ring fingers.

“Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together,” the couple said, before handing out a piece of paper with the statement written on it and signed by both of them individually.

One of Catherine‘s friends actually spoke to the press and gave her full reaction to the PDA photos.

There is some controversy involved in this story as Dominic is actually married to his wife, Catherine FitzGerald, and they have been wed since 2010. They have four children.

Well, it’s now being reported that the same day that Dominic was seen kissing Lily, they were with a third person. It looks like Dominic and Lily have another connection in that they both work with the same talent manager, Angharad Wood, according to IMDb. Angharad was reportedly at lunch with them that same day in the photos that were released. Angharad works with other celebrities including Alicia Vikander, Eva Green, and Liv Tyler.

Meanwhile, a friend of Dominic‘s wife revealed how she reacted to seeing the photos…and she was reportedly “shocked.”

“Catherine has seen the pictures and she’s devastated. I came over to speak with her as soon as I knew about them,” the friend told the publication. “Catherine has been trying to speak with Dominic but he’s not answering his phone. She’s totally shocked because she didn’t know anything was going on. They were very much together, so this is completely out of the blue. She thought they had a good marriage and now it’s probably over. That’s how she feels right now but the two of them need to speak but at the moment, she’s lost for words.”

Dominic and Catherine got married in 2010 and have four kids: Dora, 13, Senan, 12, Francis, 11, and Christabel, 7.

Lily and Dominic have been filming BBC’s upcoming The Pursuit Of Love together in Rome, where the photos were taken. Fans thought perhaps the PDA photos were from a scene from the project, but since it is a period piece and they are in modern street clothes, some do not believe this to be the case.

If you missed it, over the summer, Chris and Lily were seen out together during an evening on the town in London, England. This first outing sparked romance rumors, but then they were seen on a day date in a park and the speculation continued!

In her Harper’s Bazaar UK cover story, they wrote, “She won’t discuss whether or not she is dating the Captain America star Chris Evans.”

However, they did say Lily had some dating advice for her younger self, which is, “Don’t be obsessed by boys! Hang out with your girl mates. And don’t take everything so seriously – be kind to yourself.”

Harry Styles and Lily James are in negotiations to star in the upcoming movie My Policeman, based on the acclaimed novel.

Deadline reports that the movie “takes place in the late 1990s, when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home, triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal.”

Lily will seemingly play the younger Marion, though it’s not clear if Harry will play Patrick or Tom. Production on the movie is expected to begin in summer 2021.

Amazon Studios has closed a deal to produce the film with Berlanti Productions’ Greg Berlanti, his husband Robbie Rogers, and Sarah Schechter, along with Independent Film Company and MGC’s Cora Palfrey and Philip Herd.

Tony Award winner Michael Grandage will direct the movie with a screenplay by Oscar-nominated writer Ron Nyswaner.
