Leighton Meester is all smiles while carrying her surfboard on the beach on Monday afternoon (January 4) in Malibu, Calif.

The 34-year-old former Gossip Girl actress was spotted on a surfing date with her husband Adam Brody.

At one point, Adam, 41, changed out of his wetsuit and was seen taking some videos of Leighton riding the waves.

A couple weeks ago, a new interview with Adam was released and he opened up about surfing with his wife. He was also spotted doing some solo surfing at the beach over the weekend.

Leighton Meester is enjoying a day out in the ocean!

The 34-year-old Single Parents actress and Gossip Girl alum hit the beach to do some solo surfing on Sunday afternoon (December 27) in Malibu, Calif.

Leighton was seen wearing a black bodysuit and a black bucket while spending the afternoon catching some waves.

Since welcoming her baby boy several months ago, Leighton and husband Adam Brody have been spending a lot of time surfing.

During a new interview, Adam revealed if he and Leighton plan on watching the upcoming Gossip Girl reboot that will soon be debuting on HBO Max.

Adam Brody and his wife Leighton Meester have been spotted surfing many times throughout 2020 and he’s opening up about their quarantine hobby!

The 41-year-old The O.C. actor chatted with WSJ. Magazine for a new feature this week.

Adam was asked how he steers himself back on course for the rest of the week when he has a bad Monday.

“Ideally attack the problem, but it just depends on what the problem is. That said, a big part of our quarantine life is that my wife and I have been surfing our brains out,” Adam said.

He continued, “My wife will come down with our son half an hour, 45 minutes after I’m up and join the party and we will check the surf on our phones. I’ve been off and on a lifetime surfer. My wife’s relatively new to it but is very dedicated. She is going surfing right now.”

Adam Brody is opening up in his new interview with WSJ about the upcoming Gossip Girl revival.

The new HBO Max series is a revival of the television show that his wife, actress Leighton Meester, starred in on the WB in the early 2000s.

However, it doesn’t look like they will personally be watching the revival of the show, which isn’t a reboot.

“I highly doubt we’ll watch it front to back,” Adam shared. “I don’t think we’re the audience, but I’m sure we’ll dip our toes in.”

Adam did reveal the things that he and Leighton had been watching though.

“We just finished The Reagans, I enjoyed that,” he shared. “We watched Mank, the Fincher movie, last night. We watched The Crown, The Vow, [and] Moonbase 8, which I thought was kind of sweet, lovely.”

The new Gossip Girl series takes place eight years after the events of the first series, following a new set of Manhattan private schoolers.

The cast includes Emily Alyn Lind, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Zión Moreno, Savannah Smith, Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, and Tavi Gevinson.

Adam Brody shows off his muscles while helping wife Leighton Meester with her surfboard ahead of hitting the waves for some surf time on Tuesday afternoon (December 15) in Malibu, Calif.

This was a special surf session, as it was also Adam‘s 41st birthday!

The longtime couple have been surfing a lot lately, after welcoming their second child, a baby boy, into the world this fall.

The married couple enjoyed a picnic date on the beach after getting in some surfing just a few hours before.

The two carried their meal to and from their car in an insulated pack and Leighton was seen holding onto the blanket they sat on.

Leighton and Adam have been enjoying a lot of surfing outings together recently, amid the pandemic. Surfing is actually one of the couples’ favorite activities to do together.

At the end of the summer, Adam and Leighton welcomed their second child together, a baby boy whose name still hasn’t been released. But this is what they’ve been calling him…

Adam Brody is sporting more facial hair than usual!

The 40-year-old actor showed over his scruffy beard while arriving at a hot surfing spot with wife Leighton Meester on Thursday (November 12) in Malibu, Calif.

Adam and Leighton quickly changed into their wetsuits as soon as they arrived as they were eager to hit the waves in the Pacific.

The couple are big fans of surfing and have been doing the activity for years. It’s actually one of Leighton‘s favorite forms of exercise, too!

“My husband also taught me how to surf, and in the last year, I got really into it,” Leighton told Shape last year about the activity. “For the last six months, surfing has pretty much been my main form of exercise.”

Just recently, Leighton and Adam welcomed their second child, a baby boy and Adam joked about what they are calling him right now. See the funny nickname here!
