'Game of Thrones' Star Didn't Like Ed Sheeran's Cameo

Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor on Game of Thrones, wasn’t a fan of Ed Sheeran‘s famous cameo on Game of Thrones.

“I’m not a fan of the cameos in ‘Game of Thrones.’ I don’t like them. I think it’s stupid. I don’t mind going on the record on that. I just think it takes you right out of the world,” he told Huffington Post. “Especially Ed Sheeran. I was like, ‘Why is Ed Sheeran here?’ I mean, Ed Sheeran’s great. He’s a great guy, great musician, but why is he in ‘Game of Thrones’?”

“I’m not saying I’m not a fan of Ed Sheeran. I’m being tactful here, but just not a fan of the cameo. I think most people would agree with me there. It was a big snap to reality. It’s like, ‘What? What?’” he continued.

“It’s a fantasy show. We’re all caught in this amazing world and spend so much time and money and talent to create, and all of a sudden there’s a pop star? What?” he added.

DO YOU AGREE with what Kristian is saying about Ed Sheeran’s cameo??

Game of Thrones' Kristian Nairn (aka Hodor) Comes Out as Gay

Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn has revealed that he is gay and that he has never tried hiding that fact.

The 38-year-old actor was being interviewed by GOT fansite WinterIsComing.net when asked about his character Hodor’s popularity with the gay community.

“Well, in all honesty, when you talk about ‘the gay community,’ you are talking about MY community, haha. I AM aware of it yeah, and I think it’s really lovely,” Kristian said. “There’s not a day that I don’t get a few messages, but 99% or more are super sweet and nothing smutty at all! Again, it’s a privilege, and I really mean that. I’ve never hidden my sexuality from anyone, my whole life in fact, and I’ve been waiting for someone to ask about it in an interview, cos it’s not something you just blurt out. I’ve tried to lead the questions a few times, to no avail!”

“It’s a very small part of who I am on the whole, but nonetheless, in this day and age, it’s important to stand up and be counted. I have and always will stand my ground,” he added. “So, yeah, people have been great, on the show, but I don’t see why it would be an issue.”
