Kevin Hart Tries To Become An Action Star With Help from John Travolta in 'Die Hart' Trailer

Kevin Hart and John Travolta debate about action stars named Kevin in the trailer for their new Quibi series, Die Hart.

In Die Hart, Kevin plays a fictionalized version of himself who’s tired of being the comedic sidekick.

He gets his wish when a famous director offers him his dream – to be a leading man action star – but there’s a catch: Kevin must first train at the world’s greatest action star school, run by a lunatic (Travolta).

Pushed to his limits by this action school coach and a tough-minded rival student (Nathalie Emmanuel), Kevin must survive a series of hilarious, over-the-top action sequences and face his fears if he wants to achieve his dream and land the role of a lifetime.

Die Hart will premiere TOMORROW, July 20 on the short form streaming service.

During his appearance, he discussed his serious 2019 car accident, which resulted in him breaking his back.

“I lied in the hospital because I didn’t want them to know that I was having pain because I thought they would stop letting me try my walks,” he admitted during the conversation.

“I dealt with the pain…every night was a horrible night,” he went on to say.

“I should have had the walker, but I am giving the perception that it was better than it was. I had the back brace on. I don’t want you to worry. I don’t want the worry placed on anybody else.”

“The dopest thing about that was not being able to walk, but being told if I’m patient, I can recover fully, I can get back to myself and me instantly thinking in my head, ‘I can actually be better than I was.’ If I can keep beating myself, then that means I’m in a battle with the only person I really want to f––g beat and that’s me. I don’t care about anybody else. I’m in this amazing Rocky story with myself,” he went on to explain.

His family recently said they find him “annoying” in quarantine. Find out more…

Kevin Hart Says His Family Finds Him 'Annoying' During Their Quarantine

Kevin Hart is opening up about his time under quarantine!

The 40-year-old actor appeared virtually for an appearance on Ellen, set to air on Monday (May 24).

During his interview, Kevin chatted about being home with pregnant wife Eniko Parrish.

“She’s so happy at the fact that through these stages, I’m here,” Kevin said. “Like normally, I’m in and out. So it’s been a real blessing just to be around and talk, converse, you know, and just kind of be with the fam through these months. So this is the first time that I’ve ever been here this much through a pregnancy in general in my life. So it’s been refreshing.”

Despite being there for her, Kevin says Eniko and their kids Heaven, 15, Hendrix, 12, and Kenzo, 2, find him being home to be very “annoying.”

“She’s not getting on my nerves,” Kevin said of his wife. “But she’s saying I’m getting on her nerves. And you know, whatever. I don’t fight it. But apparently, I’m annoying.”

Kevin continued: “That’s what they’re talking about around the house, saying that I’m just ‘always around.’ … And they say, ‘Dad, you always want to do stuff. Just chill. And I’m like, I thought doing stuff was chilling.”

Kevin Hart Speaks Out About Cancel Culture: 'Nobody's Going to Be Perfect'

Kevin Hart is addressing “cancel culture.”

The 40-year-old Jumanji actor opened up in an interview for O, The Oprah Magazine‘s Instagram Live.

“You gotta get to a point where you become more realistic. What I mean about being realistic is: Nobody’s perfect, nobody’s going to be. We’re living in a time where we’re just expecting perfect, as if people don’t slip and fall down the steps, or everybody walks straight all the time. But you stumble…it’s weird to really hold people at a level that they never asked to be held at,” he said.

“If babies came out with all the knowledge, then what’s the point of going from age one through 21? You get to 21, and there’s a celebration of you now being an adult, because you spent those years being a kid, doing the things that a kid is supposed to do. So you can’t hold me accountable for things that I did as a kid that were childish behavior, at 21 when I’m now an adult…well from 21, to 31, I was a young adult, so I didn’t know what life was going to be like as an adult, so I messed up as a young adult.”

“We can’t be so persistent with the search to find and destroy. Although some things are warranted and I understand, it’s just us as people have got to be smart enough to go…you know what, whatever has happened, has happened, but people deserve a chance to move on. Life isn’t over because people say it is, and that’s what’s been happening as of late. It’s like people determine when your end button is pushed, but that’s not how it works. We need to lose that attitude and feeling and let people grow. People love to talk shit…people love to be negative, but guess what? They also love to be positive. But we only talk about the negative,” he went on to explain.

Judge Dismisses $60 Million Kevin Hart Sex Tape Lawsuit

Kevin Hart was sued by a woman who accused him of filming a sexual encounter without her knowledge, but the case has been dismissed by a judge.

Montia Sabbag alleges that she had sex with Hart in his hotel room in Las Vegas in 2017 and she says that without her knowledge, he let a friend into the room to set up hidden video cameras.

Page Six reports that a federal judge in California tossed the suit because it was filed in the wrong court. Sabbag filed in a federal court as opposed to a local civil court, but she’s still allowed to file again.

Kevin previously denied setting up the tape and he issued an apology to his wife Eniko Parrish. He also said that he was “not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes and in this particular situation that was what was attempted. I said I’d rather fess up to my mistakes.”

Back in March, Kevin announced some very happy news.
