John Mayer is opening up about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s song “Lover” and he’s a really big fan of the track!

The 42-year-old singer did an Instagram Live stream with his friend Shawn Mendes in which they discussed the song. If you didn’t know, Shawn is featured on the newly released remix of the song and he’s one of Taylor‘s longtime friends.

“Love the song,” John said. “I really like the song. I get a little chuckle because she says, ‘We can keep the Christmas lights up ‘til January.’ And I go, ‘You’re insane. Everyone keeps their Christmas lights up until January.’”

After discussing the remix version with Shawn, John broke into his own version of the tune.

“We can keep the Christmas lights up ‘til January,” he sang. “And then about January 5th, we’ll take the lights down. And then we’ll put ‘em in a box and we’ll label that box Christmas lights. Yeah, we’ll put ‘em in the attic until next December.”

For those unaware, Taylor and John dated back in 2009 and he was the inspiration for her song “Dear John.”

John Mayer is back with new music!

The 41-year-old Grammy-winning entertainer just dropped his new song “Carry Me Away” along with the music video to go with it.

“Carry Me Away” is the latest single John has released since he dropped “I Guess I Just Feel Like” back in February.

If you missed it, John had a great response after a fan asked him why he was still single.

If you don’t know, there’s a big Instagram hoax that is floating around right now that has fooled a bunch of celebrities.

Well, John Mayer is taking it to the next level by mocking the viral hoax with his own fun spin.

If you don’t know, the original hoax post claims that Instagram will now be able to use the app’s users’ photos against them in court cases.

“I give Instagram the express right to publish, distribute and/or sell any of all of my digital content posted to the account @johnmayer as they see fit, including but not limited to: my world famous meatloaf recipes, Joe Camel fan fiction, Fight Club film flubs, Photographs of sinks…Woke magic tricks,” John began his post. John Mayer has been granted a restraining order against a fan.

Back in March, the 41-year-old entertainer and members of his team allegedly started to be terrorized by Ryan Jeremy Knight, according to court documents via E! News.

John claims that Knight first started stalking and harassing him before the situation got more intense and Knight started making violent threats to John and his team on social media.

In one threat, Knight told John that he’s “put many a jew in the hospital” before referring famed murderers like Ted Bundy and Mark David Chapman – who murdered John Lennon.

Back on June 28, Knight showed up at John‘s concert in North Carolina, but was escorted out of the venue by security.

According to the documents, the death threats have caused John to “suffer substantial emotional duress.”

Ryan Jeremy Knight has now been ordered to stay at least 100 feet away from John Mayer and his house. A court hearing has also scheduled for August 27 to determine if the protection order should be made permanent.

John Mayer responded to a fan who asked him how he is still single, and his answer was very funny.

The 41-year-old singer posted a photo on Instagram of him playing guitar and a fan commented, “Beautiful! How are you still single?”

Some of the past women John has publicly dated are Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.

John has been candid about a lot of his relationships in the past, including tell Playboy about Jessica Simpson, “That girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm.”

If you don’t remember, Katy Perry actually once rated how good John Mayer was in bed!

John Mayer and Jason Statham are taking part in Instagram’s latest viral challenge!

The Bottle Cap Challenge was started by Taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin and involves kicking off the top of a bottle without knocking the bottle over.

John took the challenge after being tagged by a martial artist and surprisingly nailed it!

“I actually can’t believe this wow,” Shawn Mendes wrote in the comment section.

Afterwards, John challenged Jason, who was also successful in getting the top of the bottle off!

We can’t wait to see who takes the challenge next!

Chrissy Teigen is speaking out about her Twitter moments she wish didn’t happen!

During the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen after show on Thursday, the 33-year-old author and Twitter icon admitted that she wish she never commented on big musicians or anyone with a big fan base.

“Anything that involved any stans of any kind,” Chrissy revealed. “That is the worst. Anyone that has a group of stans. Oh my gosh it’s weeks that you have to completely leave the grid because… the culture of it is insane.”

Chrissy shared that she has learned from past experiences with such groups and now filters herself on social media: “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t say that someone’s lip syncing or something. I can’t make those snide comments anymore,” she said. “Oh my God! It’s hell for weeks!”
