Harry Potter's Jessie Cave Reveals Three-Month-Old Son Is Hospitalized with COVID-19

Jessie Cave, who starred as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter franchise, has revealed that her three-month-old newborn has been hospitalized with Coronavirus.

The 33-year-old actress posted a photo of her baby boy, Abraham, who was born in October of 2020, in his hospital crib.

“I watched the news about lockdown from an isolated room in hospital. Poor baby is covid positive. He’s okay and doing well but they are being vigilant and cautious, thankfully. This strain is super powerful and contagious so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks,” Jessie posted on Instagram. “Really didn’t want this to be the start of my families new year. Really didn’t want to be back in a hospital so soon after his traumatic birth. Once again I’m in awe of nurses and doctors. It makes me even more proud of my brother, a&e doctor @pondermed and my father, king GP @davidlloyd73 …. please wish baby a speedy recovery. He’s 9 lbs 7 now so he’s a stronger and bigger boy than he was when we were last in a hospital room (and the needle went into his hand with louder more powerful screams 😣😣😣😣😣.) Love and best wishes to everyone ”

We’re wishing Jessie‘s family the best and are hoping Abraham makes a quick recovery and is home soon.

Harry Potter's Jessie Cave Talks About Her Rape & Says She's Not A Victim, But A Survivor

Jessie Cave opened up about her rape when she was just 14 during her brand new podcast, We Can’t Talk About That Right Now, with her sister, Bebe.

The 28-year-old actress, best known for her role as Lavender in the Harry Potter franchise, spoke openly about the incident via People.

“I think rape at 14 is pretty bad. By your tennis coach, who you trusted, a position of power,” she shared in the debut episode. “I was fit and I was very able with a tennis ball. But I was still taken advantage of, and he was sent to jail.”

Jessie went on, saying that the incident, while traumatizing, is a part of her but doesn’t define her.

“I am not a victim and was not defined by what happened as a girl,” she said. “I am okay and I can talk about it, even laugh about it, carry it with me and use it. I have done so extensively and [publicly] in past writing, my show Sunrise for example, even talked about it on other people’s podcasts about mental health and love. I bring it up casually (without trigger warnings because I forget and don’t really understand them) because it’s just a part of me and has been for over half of my life. But our podcast was not about that!”

Jessie also emphasized the fact that she is a survivor.

“The more time I have away from it, and this is going to sound awful, but I do feel quite lucky in so many ways that I had a rape that was actually … it didn’t destroy me,” she added. “I think that’s something that people don’t talk about enough with sexual abuse and trauma. There are some people that are okay after, there are some people that do use it and find a way of living with it and definitely are not defined by it.”

Jessie is currently pregnant with her third child with husband Alfie Brown.

'Harry Potter' Cast - Where Are They Now?

It’s been almost 20 years since the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, hit theaters.

Despite this, we’re pretty sure all of us can still remember the magical feeling that those first music notes brought us as the lights went down.

And then it happened seven more times.

Not only has the beloved book series – penned by J.K. Rowling beginning in 1997 – inspired the movies, but it has also led to the Fantastic Beasts film series, a popular Universal Studios destination, Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and more.

We’re looking back on some of your favorite Harry Potter kids to see where they are now!
