Jeff Bezos is settling on an expensive new home – record-breaking expensive, actually.

The billionaire Amazon CEO purchased the home of David Geffen in Beverly Hills, Calif., People confirmed on Wednesday (February 12).

A private broker handled the $165 million deal, making it the most expensive home ever purchased in the Los Angeles area, according to the WSJ.

Previously, the most expensive home was the Chartwell estate, otherwise known as the Beverly Hillbillies mansion, which was sold for $150 million to Rupert Murdoch‘s son in 2019.

It’s described as a “13,600-square-foot, Georgian-style mansion,” with “terraces, gardens, a nursery and three hot houses. The grounds also include two guesthouses, a tennis court, swimming pool, and nine-hole golf course.”

Jeff Bezos, the Amazon CEO billionaire, was totally roasted by Steve Martin and Chris Rock at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

“Jeff Bezos is here!” Chris announced during their bit on stage.

“Great actor,” Steve responded.

“He’s got cash. When he writes a check the bank bounces,” Chris said. “Jeff Bezos is so rich, he got divorced and he’s still the richest man in the world! He saw Marriage Story and thought it was a comedy.”

Then Chris asked if Steve had anything he wanted to add.

“No, I like getting my packages on time,” Steve responded.

Also sitting in the front row, among many other celebs, was Dr. Dre.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is a big fan of Lizzo!

The 56-year-old Amazon CEO posted a selfie of him and the superstar singer at the 2020 Super Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fla.

He captioned the photo, “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100% @lizzo’s biggest fan. #SBLIV”

Lizzo was seen lounging on a yacht in Miami ahead of the Super Bowl as she enjoyed the nice weather in the south that weekend!
