Jason Segel has started production on his new AMC anthology series Dispatches from Elsewhere!

The 39-year-old How I Met Your Mother actor was spotted on set on Wednesday (July 24) in Philadelphia.

He wore a black button-up shirt with a gray jacket and pants and brown shoes, staying hydrated with a bottle of Topo Chico sparkling mineral water as he smiled for the cameras.

Jason also rocked a blue button-up shirt and blue sneakers while chatting with some crew members.

Dispatches from Elsewhere, which will include “elements across multiple platforms, is about a group of ordinary people who stumble onto a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life. They will come to find that the mystery winds far deeper than they ever imagined,” Deadline reports.

The 10-episode drama series is both created by and stars Jason.

Dakota Johnson, Jason Segel, and Casey Affleck are teaming up for a new movie!

The 29-year-old Suspiria star, the 39-year-old How I Met Your Mother actor, and the 43-year-old The Old Man & the Gun actor will all star in Berlind-bound drama The Friend.

BAFTA nominee Gabriela Cowperthwaite will direct the film, which is based on Matthew Teague’s National Magazine Award-winning article first published in Esquire Magazine.

The Friend tells the extraordinary true story of Nicole (Dakota) and Matthew Teague (Casey) who, after learning that Nicole has just six months to live, receive the unexpected support of the couple’s best friend (Jason) who decides to move into their family home and put his own life on hold. His impact on everyone is much greater – and more profound – than anyone could have imagined.

Production will begin this February in Fairhope, Ala., in the town where the Teague family resided.

Jason Segel ran into a familiar face during a recent outing!

The 38-year-old actor crossed paths with Charlyne Yi as he stepped out on Thursday afternoon (May 24) in Los Feliz, Calif.

Jason and Charlyne were both part of the cast of the hit 2007 comedy Knocked Up starring Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl.

After their quick meet up, Jason was spotted making his way into a restaurant for a quick bite to eat by himself.

Ethan Hawke, Joaquin Phoenix and Jason Segal all stepped out to premiere their new films at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival over the weekend!

Ethan, 47, was joined by Alia Shawkat, Jenn Lyon, Josh Hamilton, Benjamin Dickey, Alynda Lee Segarra, Charlie Sexton and writer Sybil Rosen at the premiere of BLAZE held at Park City Library on Sunday (January 21) in Park City, Utah.

That same day, Joaquin was accompanied by writer Jonathan Ames, and producers Rosa Attab, Jim Wilson and Trevor Groth at their You Were Never Really Here premiere.

Jason, 38, and his Come Sunday co-stars Stacey Sargeant, Danny Glover, Condola Rashad and Lakeith Stanfield also debuted their film at the Eccles Center Theatre.

Jason Segel made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (November 7) and talked all about making his transition from actor to five-time book writer.

“No one was ever knocking at my door to play Captain America. It’s not how my career was like so I wrote a lot of those movies that I did,” the 37-year-old expressed to host Stephen. “I wrote Forgetting Sarah Marshall when I was like 24 and I wrote Muppet’s with a friend of mine, Nick.”

Jason also talked to Stephen about releasing the first book in a new trilogy, “Otherworld“, which sets up a thriller inside a virtual reality world in which gamer Simon searches for his best friend, Kat, to protect her from nefarious corporate forces.

Jason Segel suits up for the premiere of his new film The Discovery on Wednesday night (March 29) at the Vista Theater in Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old actor was also joined at the premiere by his girlfriend Alexis Mixter.

Also spotted at the premiere was Jason‘s co-star Rooney Mara and her longtime boyfriend Charlie McDowell – who directed the film – along with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.

The Discovery is set to premiere on Netflix this Friday (March 31).
