Alexander Skarsgard Is Evil Personified In 'The Stand' Trailer - Watch Here!

It’s good versus evil in the first trailer for The Stand.

The series, based on Stephen King‘s novel of the same name, is an apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil.

The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail (Whoopi Goldberg) and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgård), the Dark Man.

Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Greg Kinnear, Brad William Henke, Nat Wolff, Daniel Sunjata, James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young, Eion Bailey, Katherine McNamara, Heather Graham, Marilyn Manson, Hamish Linklater and Henry Zaga also star in the limited series.

The Stand will premiere on CBS All Access on December 17.

James Marsden Spends the Day With His Kids on His 47th Birthday

James Marsden is having a great day out.

The 47-year-old Enchanted actor was spotted spending his birthday on Friday (September 18) by having lunch with his son Jack and daughter Mary at Katsu-Ya on Saturday (September 19) in Los Angeles.

James was then spotted meeting up with his girlfriend, Lisa Linde, to check out a house before a trip to Galpin Ford in Van Nuys to buy his son a car. It was a very busy day!

'Dead to Me' Renewed for Third & Final Season at Netflix!

Dead to Me is coming back for one more season at Netflix!

The third season will be the final for the streaming service. Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini and James Marsden all star in the series.

Creator Liz Feldman said in a statement, “From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make. And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”

Netflix has renewed 14 total shows in 2020 so far!

James Marsden is sharing a big secret!

The 46-year-old actor made a virtual appearance on Ellen, set to air on Thursday (May 28), to promote the new season of his hit Netflix show Dead to Me.

During his appearance, James revealed that a random run-in with Julia Roberts helped get him cast in the 2007 movie Hairspray.

James shared that before he was cast as Corny Collins, he was at a restaurant on an interview with director Adam Shankman when Julia came up to him and randomly started singing his praises.

“I had a tap on my shoulder and it was Julia Roberts just standing there and she said, ‘Sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt, but I just wanted to tell you you’re in my favorite movie, The Notebook, and I loved what you do in the film and congratulations on it, bye nice to meet you,’” James shared. “And Adam Shankman turns to me and says, ‘if you didn’t have the role already, I think that just kind of sealed it.’”

'Dead to Me' Cast Reunites for a Virtual Reading of Series Premiere Episode!

The second season of the hit Netflix comedy series Dead to Me is out now and to celebrate, the cast reunited on Zoom for a live reading of the pilot episode!

Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini, James Marsden, and the rest of the cast, along with series creator Liz Feldman, read the episode on Facebook Live.

The stars were in full character for the live reading and both Christina and Linda were brought to tears at one point.

At the end of the reading, Christina broke out into song and performed the Judy Garland tune “Get Happy,” which was the credits song for the pilot.

The second season kicks off with a BIG twist that involves the return of a cast member we didn’t think we’d see again.

The second season of Dead to Me just premiered and the show kicked off with a big twist at the end of the first episode.

If you’ve seen the first season, then you likely remember that it ended with James Marsden‘s character Steve being shot dead and his body lying in the pool. The 46-year-old X-Men actor revealed that he still his signature red sunglasses from playing Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, in the original X-Men Marvel film trilogy.
