Demi Lovato takes the stage at the 2019 Teen Vogue Summit!

The 27-year-old “Echame la Culpa” singer stepped out for the event held at Goya Studios on Saturday (November 2) in Los Angeles.

Packed with inspiring talks, workshops, and performances curated by the editors of Teen Vogue, the Teen Vogue Summit is designed to prepare attendees to create change in their communities. More than 1,000 young people participated in the weekend.

“Over the past five years I have changed a lot,” Demi told the crowd at the event. “Like, I have gone through a lot. This is like, really, my first public thing back. So forgive me if I’m a little nervous, but it’s my first time and I haven’t done anything in front of an audience in a while.”

“I wish that I would have known that it is best to live your life without hiding anything,” she added. “I spent so many years trying to put on the role model front rather than being true to myself and being me. Like, I tried to refrain from getting tattoos when I was young because I was afraid that if Disney saw I would get in trouble or something. But really, they just covered it up. It’s not a big deal. It’s just better to be yourself, so if you want to dye your hair purple, dye your hair purple. If you want to love someone of the same sex, love someone of the same sex. Just be yourself.”

Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield are falling in love in the first trailer for their upcoming film The Photograph.

The movie follows a woman who must “learn from the secrets in her mother’s past if she is to move forward and allow herself to love and be loved.”

After Mae Morton’s famed photographer mother unexpectedly passes away, she leaves her estranged daughter full of questions. When Mae discovers a photograph tucked into a safe-deposit box, she finds herself on a journey of her mother’s early life while simultaneously igniting an unexpected romance with a journalist writing a profile about her mother.

The Photograph hits theaters on February 14th.

Charlize Theron showed her style while stepping out for Ellen’s Women in Hollywood Celebration!

The 44-year-old actress hit the carpet at the annual event, presented by Ralph Lauren and Lexus, on Monday night (October 14) at The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, Calif.

She was also joined at the party by Margot Robbie, Issa Rae, Lake Bell, Jameela Jamil and Nikki Reed.

The three talented ladies were joined at the event by Regina King, Insecure‘s Issa Rae, Monica, Brandy, H.E.R., Remy Ma, Lil Mama, Ari Lennox, India.Arie, Kiana Ledé, Skai Jackson and hostess of the evening, Niecy Nash.

The Black Girls Rock Awards will premiere on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 8:00 P.M. ET/PT.

Issa Rae stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (July 31) and shared an exciting update on season four of her hit HBO series, Insecure!

“We’re in the writers room right now, it’s super super exciting,” the 34-year-old writer-director-actress told Jimmy. “That’s like my bread and butter. I love doing it too.”

“We’re entering our fourth season. I got really excited because we usually do eight episodes every season,” Issa revealed. “The show runner and I decided that we were going to do ten this year. We knew that four months ago.”

Issa Rae explained why she chose not to humble her Women in Film Emerging Entrepreneur Award acceptance speech and reveals some A-list cameos expected on her new HBO series, Black Lady Sketch Show.

Issa Rae and Robin Thede sit down down to speak about their brand new series A Black Lady Sketch Show during the HBO segment of the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (July 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The two ladies were joined at the event by director Dime Davis to promote the narrative series set in a limitless magical reality full of dynamic, hilarious characters and celebrity guests.

A Black Lady Sketch Show, premiering August 2 at 11PM, presents sketches performed by a core cast of black women. Robin is the creator and leading star.

The 45-year-old The Widow actress, the 34-year-old Insecure star, and the 41-year-old TV personality hit the red carpet at the event, presented by Kia, at Barker Hangar on Monday (June 24) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Kate shimmered in a strapless silver and gold gown, Issa was all smiles in a multicolored dress, and Maria stood out in a beach-inspired orange dress that complemented her beachy waves.
