Ice-T is opening up about his hit NBC series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

During a new interview, the 62-year-old actor explained why he thinks his show has stayed on the air for so long.

“[Law & Order has] tried to be as fair as it can possibly be,” Ice-T shared with Page Six. “You have got the black gang bangers, but you have also got the black judge, you’ve got the black attorney.”

Ice-T has portrayed NYPD Detective/Sergeant Odafin Tutuola for 20 seasons. The show has been on air for 21 seasons, since 2000.

Ice-T also did admit that SVU also tends to “romanticize” the job of a cop.

“I am wearing Gucci,” Ice-T added. “Mariska [Hargitay] is wearing designer clothes. Cops can’t afford to do that, so in a way we romanticize that job when it’s not that romantic.”

If you missed it, Law & Order showrunner Warren Leight said the show will address the George Floyd protests and police brutality in the upcoming 22nd season.

Ice-T and Coco showed up as a scary butcher and Blond Ambition Tour-era Madonna, Questlove kept the party going at the DJ booth, while Reggie Bush and wife Lilit Avagyan came dressed in Batman and Batwoman masks.

Mariska Hargitay is all smiles on the red carpet as she arrives at the Law & Order: SVU Television Milestone Celebration on Wednesday night (September 25) at the Paley Center for Media in New York City.

The 55-year-old actress looked chic in a gray suit as she attended the event to celebrate the record-breaking 21st season.

Fellow cast members at the event included Ice-T, Peter Scanavino, and Kelli Giddish along with show creator Dick Wolf.

Missy Elliott happily strikes a pose with Lizzo while her 2019 MTV Video Music Awards after party held on Monday (August 26) in New York City.

The 48-year-old music icon and the 31-year-old “Truth Hurts” hit-maker were joined at the event by Cardi B, Adriana Lima, Lil Kim, Queen Latifah, Regina King, Winnie Harlow, Naturi Naughton, Ice T and his wife Coco Austin.

50 Cent and girlfriend Jamira couple up for the premiere of Power season six on Tuesday night (August 20) at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The 44-year-old rapper and actor looked cool in a black and white suit as he attended the event alongside co-star La La Anthony, who rocked a curve-hugging silver dress for the red carpet.

Ice-T nearly shot an Amazon delivery driver.

The 61-year-old rapper revealed the shocking news on his Twitter on Tuesday (May 21).

“Message To Amazon: Now that you have regular people making your home deliveries.. Maybe they should wear a Vest with AMAZON DELIVERY on it. I almost shot a MF creeping up to my crib last night…. Just sayin,” he wrote.

“Just sayin…thanks for the suggestion. We MF’ing love you and our drivers. Lots of innovations coming on this and many that already exist to help you track your package and delivery on a map. Thanks for being a customer,” Amazon wrote back in response.
