Nikki Reed‘s birthday was this week and her husband Ian Somerhalder took to Instagram to pay tribute to her.

The 42-year-old actor opened up about how he fell into an eight-figure hole because of a bad business situation and Nikki, 33, rescued him out of it.

“This mama. This human. I owe you such gratitude for it all. What many of you may not know is this woman is the reason I was actually able to build @brothersbondbourbon,” Ian said. “I’ve never disclosed this publicly, but this woman worked selflessly for 2 yrs to build me out of a terrible business situation I got myself into.”

Ian Somerhalder just did a new photo shoot and he’s looking so good in the photos from set!

The 42-year-old former The Vampire Diaries actor was seen doing a shoot with a small crew on Thursday afternoon (May 13) in Malibu, Calif.

Ian was spotted in a gray t-shirt, a brown jacket, and jeans while posing next to a log. He took off the jacket for some of the shots.

That same day, Ian announced that the Ian Somerhalder Foundation is giving $1 million to the Jane Goodall Institute.

“WOW, it’s been hard for me to hold onto this news!!! Giving this grant means THE WORLD to ISF, Nikki and me and something we have been planning for a very long time. Real change happens through supporting shared missions and action and that is exactly what will happen here,” he said on Instagram.

He added, “Jane, you’re our hero!!! Everyone watch our video and please please please go follow the work of the @janegoodallinst with us!”

Nikki Reed is reacting to her husband Ian Somerhalder‘s interview habits.

The 32-year-old Twilight actress stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday (April 21) and had some fun at her husband’s expense!

Kelly revealed that she had planned for a special video before they began their chat and played a hilarious montage of Ian‘s last appearance on the show.

In the clip, a very enthusiastic Ian gave Kelly six separate high-fives during their interview.

“Oh my god,” Nikki laughed as she watched the video.

“All I have to say is—,” the actress said when the montage ended. “What a weirdo.”

However, Nikki added that there may have been another reason for all of his high-fives.

“You know what?” she said. “Actually, the other thing I’m thinking is that maybe he was onto something and he was having a psychic premonition because the high-fiving is very 2020, and that looks like it was very 2019.”

Kelly fully embraced Ian‘s enthusiasm and told Nikki, “You know what? It made me feel really good!”

Nikki Reed is opening up about life in quarantine with her husband Ian Somerhalder and their three-year-old daughter Bodhi.

The 32-year-old actress and BaYou with Love founder says that she has been cutting everyone’s hair during the pandemic!

“I have not stepped into a salon. I do my own cutting. I cut everyone’s hair in this household,” Nikki told People. “I do all the haircuts. My mom’s a hairdresser so it’s not that foreign for me.”

Nikki decided to embrace her hair’s natural waves during this time.

“I spent my whole life looking a certain way, and then I just woke up one day and was like, ‘What if we’re actually more beautiful the way that we’re supposed to be?’ Maybe I would look more like me — whatever that means — if I just embrace what I look like without flat ironing and curling or whatever. I watched this tutorial on cutting your hair for your hair texture, and now I’m just really feeling more like myself,” she said.

Ian opened up this week about the key to his successful marriage with Nikki.

The 42-year-old The Vampire Diaries actor opened up during an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.

“What do you think is the key to keeping your relationship good?” Andy asked.

Ian replied, “Communication, taking time for yourself, for yourselves together… She’s the first one that says, ‘go, go on a bike ride, go socially distance walk with your buddies, go have a bourbon at the bar,’ you know, like just go.”

Andy asked what they fight about and Ian said, “We don’t really fight. I just basically.”

He then asked what they bicker about. Ian replied, “Well, I’m a tornado. I literally live, and I’ve learned this now as a parent. Cause I, you know, being a parent forces you to reckon with all of the things that, who you are really comes out, not just in a marriage, but when you become a parent and I am a tornado.”

Ian Somerhalder crouches down on the ground to kiss the grass while attending the drive-in screening of the documentary Kiss the Ground on Thursday (September 17) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 41-year-old actor quite literally did what the documentary asked while posing for photos with the film’s co-director Rebecca Harrell Tickell.

In the documentary, a revolutionary group of activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians band together in a global movement of “Regenerative Agriculture” that could balance our climate, replenish our vast water supplies, and feed the world.

Kiss the Ground will be available on Netflix starting on September 22. Ian appears in the documentary alongside Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady, Patricia Arquette, and narrator Woody Harrelson.

“This film will change the world and our lives,” Ian has said.
