Hailee Steinfeld has announced all the details about her upcoming album, Half Written Story.

The project is set to be out next Friday, May 8 and features five songs, including “Wrong Direction” and “I Love Yous”.

“This project is a collection of songs that are so special to me and I’m incredibly proud of,” Hailee shared about the project, adding that “this is the first body of work I’ve put out since my debut project in 2016 and I can’t wait for everyone to hear these new songs.”

Hailee will also be performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, May 1 to promote the project.

Hailee Steinfeld‘s brand new music video for “I Love You’s” is simply stunning with a black and white edge.

The 23-year-old singer/actress dropped the visual today (March 31) for her fans, after premiering the track just the week before.

“I kind of had a moment with myself where I decided that I wasn’t necessarily going to give myself a choice. I needed time to heal after a breakup. It had been a while since I’d been single, and I needed to kind of find myself again and find my footing and I kind of lost myself and I told myself I need at least a year before any of this again,” Hailee told Apple Music of the inspiration behind the track. “That was the whole ‘No more of this. No more I love you’s.’”

She added that “when this song came into my life, I was like, there’s no better way of articulating what I just said than in this song. Of course, like you mentioned, we know the Annie Lennox ‘No More I Love You’s’ and it’s so iconic.”

“You’ve created some memory to that along the way and I love that this record sort of resonates with different generations because of that, which I think is pretty special.”

Hailee Steinfeld is back with more new music!

The 23-year-old actress and singer has just dropped “I Love You’s,” the lead single from her forthcoming two part project.

“After going through a breakup, I decided I needed time to focus on myself and heal without the distractions of another relationship,” Hailee said in a statement about the song, inspired by the Annie Lennox classic. “There’s something really empowering about deciding what’s best for you and putting yourself first. That’s what this record is about.”

“I Love You’s” is the second single Hailee has released this year following “Wrong Direction” and will be featured on Part 1 of her new project due out May 1 – project title and additional details to be revealed soon.

Hailee Steinfeld flashes a smile and poses for photographs as she steps out of the Ed Sullivan Theater on Monday evening (February 24) in New York City.

The 23-year-old actress and singer taped her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she hit the stage to perform her ballad “Wrong Direction” for the first time live.

“I performed ‘Wrong Direction‘ for the first time tonight on @colbertlateshow,” Hailee wrote on her Twitter account after the performance. “I didn’t expect it to be as hard as it was…the second I starting singing I felt like my heart stopped. Hurt so good.”

Last week, Hailee was in London to present at the 2020 BRIT Awards.

Billie Eilish holds her BRIT Award close while heading to the Universal Music BRITs After-Party at The Ned Hotel in London on Tuesday night (February 18).

The 18-year-old singer joined Hailee Steinfeld and Ellie Goulding at the bash.

The day after, Billie was seen arriving for her appearance on BBC Breakfast.

In a joint interview with brother Finneas, Billie revealed that her Bond song, “No Time To Die”, had to be liked by star Daniel Craig to be part of the film.

“If Daniel Craig doesn’t like it, you don’t get the job,” Finneas shared.

Billie added, “He had a big say in it, we learned that from this. I do know that we’ve been wanting to make a Bond song for years. We told our team at the beginning of last year that if any Bond things come up, we want to be involved as we possibly can.”
