'Handmaid's Tale' Season 4 Delayed Until 2021

We’re going to have to wait longer to watch The Handmaid’s Tale.

Production of season four was just getting started back in March ahead of the Coronavirus pandemic before being shut down. Originally, season four was going to premiere in the Fall, but now, since filming has been halted, the show’s new season will not air until 2021.

Season four was renewed back in 2019 after the season three finale of the Hulu hit aired.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe we have!” Elisabeth shared with a laugh with ET. “I don’t know. Maybe we have had some discussions about this. I don’t think I am in a position to officially share anything. But, yes, we are aware that people are doing reunions and we’ve never done one, which is so crazy. We really all haven’t been together in five years. So I’ll just leave you with that.”

Elisabeth starred as Peggy Olsen on Mad Men from 2007 to 2015.

Elisabeth Moss Gives Status Update on 'Handmaid's Tale' Season 4

Elisabeth Moss is opening up about when fans can expect another season of her hit Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale.

The third season premiered on June 5, 2019, so it’s likely that the fourth season would’ve been premiering very soon had it not been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“We were only two weeks in, so we actually have an entire season to shoot,” Elisabeth said in a new interview with Extra.

You can definitely expect a fourth season in the future, but we’re going to have to wait a while for that to happen now.

Elisabeth added, “We want to go back to work because families have people to support and rent they need to pay, but at the same time no human’s life is worth a TV show. We’re just trying to figure out how to do it safely for everybody.”

Here’s the official synopsis reads: Fred (Logan Lerman) and Rose (Odessa Young) move to a small Vermont college town in pursuit of a job for Fred as an assistant professor of literature.

The young couple receives an offer for free room and board from professor Stanley Hyman (Michael Stuhlbarg), as long as Rose agrees to spend time cleaning up the home and looking after his wife, acclaimed horror author Shirley Jackson.

At first Fred and Rose detest the rocky household of the eccentric couple, but they eventually establish deep bonds with their counterparts, which will test the limits of their young love.”

Based on the novel by Susan Scarf Merrell, Shirley will be out on June 5 on VOD.

The movie was first screened at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

Elisabeth Moss Addresses Rumors She's Engaged to Tom Cruise

Elisabeth Moss is finally addressing those rumors that she and Tom Cruise got engaged.

While making an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Elisabeth was asked about the rumors that she is romantically involved, and also secretly married to Tom.

She responded, “I actually was confused and also mainly got texts from people being like, ‘I didn’t know, why didn’t you tell me?’ And just confusion from my friends, but mainly poking fun at it ’cause obviously they knew it wasn’t true.”

“And then I saw it on the cover of one of the gossip magazines, and I was like, ‘I’ve never had that haircut,’” Elisabeth said of the photo on the cover of a tabloid. “Like, it was supposed to be a picture of the two of us and I was like, ‘I’ve never styled my hair like that.’”

Elisabeth‘s movie The Invisible Man is currently in theaters and originally, a different actor was going to play her role in the film!

The film brought in $29 million during its North American box office debut weekend, and $20.2 million overseas, according to THR on Sunday (March 1).

The horror movie also notched the best domestic opening for a horror film since It: Chapter Two in September of 2019.

The film cost $7 million to produce before marketing, and currently commands a 92% rating at RottenTomatoes. It is described as a “modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.”

Elisabeth Moss Says She Was 'Legitimately Scared' By 'Invisible Man' Junket Prank!

Elisabeth Moss paid a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday night (February 27) and dished all about her new horror film, The Invisible Man!

The Emmy-winning actress talked about regretting doing her own stunts in the film, her love of horror movies, and guilting her best friend into attending the premiere of The Invisible Man.

Elisabeth also talked about getting pranked with her co-star Oliver Jackson-Cohen by an invisible presence at the press junket for their new movie.

“They tried to scare us, they pulled us into a room. We sat down and started taking pictures of each other, just stupid – and then, they started to really really scare us,” Elisabeth admitted to Seth. ” They had this whole magic thing that they did and they did all the tricks that they do in the movie. We actually legitimately got really scared. I immediately did the anti-feminist thing and like threw myself into his arms. I like lost a shoe, I was not the superhero that I am in this movie at all.”
