Kenan Thompson Responds After Fans Keep Cutting Him Out of 'SNL' Photo with Fellow Legends

Kenan Thompson has seemingly responded to some of the love he got after being cut out of an iconic Saturday Night Live photo.

If you missed it, it all started when Eddie Murphy hosted the show after a decades-long hiatus. During his monologue, he brought Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan and Chris Rock on stage, and they were soon joined by Kenan.

Well, photos of the iconic moment began circulating on social media, except many began cutting Kenan out of the photo. Later, people began calling out the faux pas and including the full photo with kind words about Kenan‘s impact.

“Before you disrespect Kenan Thompson and crop him out of this photo, remember that this man has a 26-year long career — the bulk of it on SNL,” one fan defended, while another wrote, “I grew up watching Good Burger, Kenan & Kel, All That, then as an adult watching him on SNL. He is a legend & deserves more respect than he gets. It’s disrespectful to crop him out & says a lot about you.”

Kenan saw the love and posted a tweet, embedded in this post.

Tiffany Haddish, John Legend & More Help Honor Dave Chappelle at Mark Twain Prize Ceremony!

Tiffany Haddish is gorgeous in a gown while hitting the red carpet at the 2019 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor held at The Kennedy Center on Sunday (October 27) in Washington, DC.

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the event by John Legend, SNL‘s Colin Jost and Michael Che, Chance the Rapper, Common, Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Chris Tucker, Morgan Freeman, Nancy Pelosi, Marlon Wayans, Kenan Thompson, Michelle Wolf, Jon Stewart and the man of the night himself, Dave Chappelle.

The award is considered the highest accolade in comedy and recognizes individuals who have had an impact on American society in the vein of 19th-century novelist and essayist Samuel Clemens, or pseudonym, Mark Twain.

“I love my art form because I understand every practitioner of it, whether I agree with them or not I know where they’re coming from. They want to be heard, they got something to say, there’s something they notice. They just want to be understood,” Dave said while accepting the award (via CNN). “I love this genre, it saved my life.”

FYI: Tiffany is wearing a Christian Siriano dress. Sarah is wearing a Miu Miu dress. Common is wearing a Sandro blazer and trousers.

Dave Chappelle Comments on Possibly Hosting Oscars 2019

Dave Chappelle doesn’t seem to be open to the idea of hosting the 2019 Oscars.

The 45-year-old comedian was interviewed on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special on Monday night (December 31) by hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper.

Andy asked about Kevin Hart‘s short-lived gig as the host of the Academy Awards. The comedian and actor stepped down from hosting the Oscars after his history of homophobic tweets resurfaced and he refused to apologize when asked by ABC.

“I was afraid you were going to ask me about that,” Dave said (via THR). “Kevin Hart is a great comedian and I’m sorry he won’t be hosting the Oscars.”

Dave was asked if he’d be interested in hosting the event and he replied, “If they’re mad at Kevin, I think they’d be untenable if I did it.”
