'The Code' Canceled by CBS After One Season

The Code is not coming back for another season.

Star Dana Delaney announced the news on Tuesday (July 23) on Twitter writing, “Thank you to all you wonderful people who watched @TheCodeCBS. Last night was our finale and sadly, no more. I’ll never make General. But I loved this cast of stellar actors & know we’ll meet again. Semper Fidelis.”

Other stars on the show included Luke Mitchell, Anna Wood, Phillipa Soo, Ruth Basoumian, and Ato Essandoh.

The Code premiered in April to 8.1 million total viewers, but on Monday’s series final, only had 2.9 million viewers tune in.

The duo hit the red carpet at the annual award ceremony on Monday (November 19) at the
New York Hilton in New York City.

They were also joined at the event by Sullivan Stapleton, Dana Delaney, Greg Berlanti, Violett Beane, Tony Shalhoub, Connie Nielsen and Erich Bergen.

During the show, Sullivan presented the coveted International Emmy Founders Award to Greg for his creative contributions to the quality of global television production.

Tina Fey's 'Mean Girls the Musical' Cast Supports Her at New York Stage & Film Gala

The Emmy-winning actress was honored at the event alongside Audible founder Don Katz.

Tina was supported at the event by the cast of the upcoming Mean Girls musical, which is heading to Broadway next year – Taylor Louderman (Regina George), Kate Rockwell (Karen Smith), Ashley Park (Gretchen Wieners), Erika Henningsen (Cady Heron), and Kerry Butler (Ms. Norbury).

Some of the other celebs at the event included Tina‘s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt stars Ellie Kemper and Carol Kane.

More stars in attendance were John Slattery and wife Talia Balsam, Peter Gallagher and daughter Kathryn Gallagher, Dana Delaney, Andrea Martin, Jennifer Westfeldt, and Broadway stars Corey Cott, Laura Osnes (with husband Nathan Johnson), Saycon Sengbloh, and Raul Esparza.

Betty White Honored for Being a Trailblazer in Television

The legendary 95-year-old actress was honored for her amazing legacy on television and for being a trailblazer in the industry.

“I am thrilled to be honored by the Paley Center. To be acknowledged for working in a business I love for as long as I have is truly a privilege. I’m proud to share this evening with these amazing and talented women,” Betty said.

Some of the other stars in attendance included Portia Doubleday, Wanda Sykes, Sasha Alexander, Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Dana Delaney.

Mandy Moore & Milo Ventimiglia's 'This Is Us' Honored by Television Academy for Changing Lives

Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia walk the red carpet at the 2017 Television Academy Honors event on Thursday (June 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The actors were joined by their This Is Us co-stars Chrissy Metz, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Chris Sullivan. Also in attendance were event host Dana Delaney and Speechless stars Minnie Driver, Mason Cook, Kyla Kenedy, John Ross Bowie, and Cedric Yarbrough.

The event celebrated six programs “that, through their content, strived to inspire change or change lives,” according to Variety.

This Is Us and Speechless were joined by Last Week Tonight, The Night Of, Before The Flood, and We Will Rise as the honorees.
