Anderson Cooper holds hands with his handsome boyfriend Benjamin Maisani while hitting the red carpet at the 2015 Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Enduring Vision Benefit held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (November 2) in New York City.

The 47-year-old CNN anchor and his partner were joined by Matthew Morrison and his girlfriend Renee Puente, Kiefer Sutherland, Broad City‘s Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, Matt Lauer, Andy Cohen, Padma Lakshmi, Cicely Tyson, Whoopi Goldberg, Susan Lucci, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria, Michael Stipe, Judith Light, and Elton John and his love David Furnish.

“I’m proud of what we’ve done, but the journey is not complete. I won’t be proud until the journey is complete,” Elton said at the event (via Fox).

“We’ve come so far with treatment that actual treatment is prevention. You can reduce the load virus so low now in someone’s body that the risk of passing it on to someone else is practically zero,” David added. “What hasn’t changed is the mindset associated with knowing your status and testing and then living a positive happy life if you are HIV-positive and staying on the medications.”

George Lucas, Cicely Tyson, Rita Moreno, singer-songwriter Carole King, and more have been selected to receive the his year’s prestigious Kennedy Center Honors.

Also among the honorees are conductor Seiji Ozawa and the Eagles, Variety reports.

The gala will be taking place on December 6 and will be broadcast on December 29 on CBS. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are expected to attend the gala, with lots more celebrity guests.

“Each honoree and their career-spanning achievements exemplify a rare quality of artistic bravery,” Kennedy Center president Deborah Rutter said in a statement. “They have pushed the limits of their gifts as musicians, actors, and storytellers to inspire generations of Americans and those around the world.”

Viola Davis is all smiles as she attends her L.A. Times Envelope Screening for her hit show How To Get Away With Murder held at ArcLight Sherman Oaks on Tuesday (May 26) in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

The 49-year-old actress was joined by creator/executive producer Peter Nowalk, as well as her co-star Cicely Tyson, who is set to have a guest role in season two of the show.
