Russell Wilson is opening up about how he feels about returning to work.

The 31-year-old Seahawks quarterback took to Twitter on Sunday (July 19) to voice express his concerns about playing in the upcoming 2020 NFL season amid the ongoing pandemic and while wife Ciara is currently pregnant.

“I am concerned. My wife is pregnant. @NFL Training camp is about to start.. And there’s still No Clear Plan on Player Health & Family Safety,” Russell tweeted. “We want to play football but we also want to protect our loved ones #WeWantToPlay.”

Just recently, the 34-year-old singer opened up about how, because of the pandemic, she wasn’t able to have Russell in the exam room with her for an ultrasound.

Back in January, Ciara and Russell announced that they were expecting another baby. They are already parents to daughter Sienna, 3, while Ciara shares son Future Jr, 6, with ex Future.

Just recently, Ciara opened up about how because of the pandemic she wasn’t able to have husband Russell Wilson in the room with her for an ultrasound.

She also spoke about her worries as an expectant mother during this unprecedented time.

“You don’t hear a lot about us expectant mothers during this time,” she shared. “Can babies get Covid-19 through the uterus? It’s a big mystery, and we’re some of the most vulnerable beings. Our immune systems are compromised because we can’t take medicine if we get sick in case it affects the baby. If I get ill, I have to let it pass through my body.”

Ciara is opening up about going through her third pregnancy amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The 34-year-old singer talked with British Vogue for their new August 2020 issue. Here’s what she had to say:

On going to the hospital for her ultrasound: “I wanted to be really cautious. I had a little ziplock bag of gloves for the appointment and then I had my mask. When I went from one room to the other, I switched to a new pair of gloves. When the image of the baby came on the screen, I FaceTimed Russ in the car so that he could see. We women carry the baby, but for my husband, being in the room and listening to the heartbeat in real time is one of his ways of connecting. For him not to be part of that was a symbol of this time that we’re living through.”

On parenting during Covid-19 lockdown: “That break in the day when you send your kids to school is a luxury. We’re trying all kinds of stuff to keep them both occupied. The other day I got in the car with Sienna and drove her past some horses for a change of scenery.”

On the importance of having a father figure: “The males presence is very important for both boys and girls. Your son gets to see how his dad treats a woman, and your daughter gets to see how you are loved. I’m a daddy’s girl, and my dad’s love is what saved me in situations in my life when I could have taken a left turn.”

Ciara and Russell are expecting their second child together this year. They share Sienna, 3. Ciara also has a son, Future, 6, from a previous relationship.

Enough is Enough! I’m praying for UNITY! I’m praying for the powers that be to unite and decide that it’s time for a change!,” Ciara posted on her Instagram account.
