Aubrey Plaza hits the black carpet with co-stars Gabriel Bateman and Mark Hamill at the premiere of Child’s Play on Wednesday night (June 19) at the ArcLight Hollywood in Hollywood, Calif.

The co-stars were joined by fellow cast mates Brian Tyree Henry, Carlease Burke, Ty Consiglio, and Marlon Kazadi along with director Lars Klevberg for the premiere of the latest Chucky installment.

Also stepping out for the premiere was Mark‘s wife Marilou York and their daughter Chelsea along with Kathy Griffin.

Mark Hamill sounds so scary!

The 67-year-old Star Wars star voices the iconic evil doll Chucky in the upcoming Child’s Play reboot, which you can hear in a new teaser trailer released on Tuesday (June 4).

The Lars Klevberg-directed movie is a contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, following Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.

A new poster for the upcoming movie Child’s Play has been released… and everyone’s favorite sheriff was seemingly killed off on it!

The new poster features the evil Chucky walking away with an arm holding the sheriff’s hat stretched across the ground.

While the beloved Toy Story character Woody isn’t actually named on the poster, it’s clear that a toy cowboy has been snuffed. Star Wars‘ Mark Hamill, who voices the role of Chucky, posted the image on Twitter and wrote, “Woody?….. or wouldn’t he? 🔪.”

The new rendition of the horror film happens to open the same month as Disney’s Toy Story 4.

A remake of the classic horror film Child’s Play is coming to theaters next year and the release date was just announced!

The remake will hit theaters on June 21, 2019 and a teaser poster was just unveiled.

The new Child’s Play movie “follows a mother who gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature,” according to EW.

Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, and Gabriel Bateman star in the remake, which is directed by Lars Klevberg and produced by the people who brought us the It remake.

“Child’s Play was, and is, one of my all-time horror movies and it was one of my introductions to horror,” Klevberg said in a statement. “I got the script [for the remake] and it was really really good, and I knew it was from the producers from It, and I jumped in immediately.”
