Carrie Coon has landed another big television role, this time as the female lead on Fargo‘s upcoming third season opposite Ewan McGregor!

The 35-year-old actress has received much acclaim for her work on HBO’s The Leftovers and won the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series this year.

Carrie is set to “play the series-regular role of Gloria Burgle, a practical woman who grabs the fire extinguisher when the bacon catches fire and everyone else panics. Gloria is the chief of the Eden Valley police, and a newly divorced mother, who is struggling to understand this new world around her where people connect more intimately with their phones than the people right in front of them,” according to TV Line.

Season three of Fargo will begin production later this year and debut in 2017.

Justin Theroux is dapper in a suit while posing alongside Mel Brooks at HBO’s After Party following the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 20) at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.

The 44-year-old actor met up with his The Leftovers co-stars Carrie Coon and Margaret Qualley, as well as Peter Dinklage and his wife Erica Schmidt at the event.

Also in attendance were Peter‘s Game of Thrones co-star Pedro Pascal and his The Mentalist co-star Robin Tunney.

Justin Theroux is dapper while speaking to the press at his The Leftovers panel discussion during the HBO portion of the 2015 Summer TCA Tour on Thursday (July 30) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 43-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Regina King, Carrie Coon, and executive producer/writers Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta.

Also in attendance during the HBO portion was Doll & Em‘s Emily Mortimer and Dolly Wells, as well as Show Me A Hero‘s Alfred Molina and director/executive producer Paul Haggis.

The upcoming second season of HBO’s The Leftovers has been shrouded in secrecy, but we have finally been given the official synopsis.

The upcoming season, which stars Justin Theroux, will premiere on October 4. The synopsis contains a whole lot of spoilers, so read at your own risk! Make sure to watch the teaser trailer that was recently released as well.

“After last season’s elaborate Memorial Day initiative by the Guilty Remnant plunged Mapleton into chaos, season two of The Leftovers finds many searching for a fresh start. Kevin Garvey (Theroux) has retired from his post as chief of police of Mapleton and is moving his new family to Texas. With him is Nora Durst (Carrie Coon), who’s discovered new purpose in caring for the baby she found on Kevin’s doorstep and welcomes leaving behind Mapleton and the incredible tragedy she suffered there. Equally eager to leave the town she grew up in and the friends she made there is Kevin’s daughter, Jill (Margaret Qualley).”

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of HBO’s The Leftovers is here and it finally has given insight into what the big twist of the season will be!

The clip shows a trail of cars lined up on a highway and not moving at all. We then see a road sign that shows the name “Jarden, Texas” along with a population count and a departures number of zero.

It was previously revealed that the season would move to Texas and that many cast members are not returning. Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Amy Brenneman, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, and Carrie Coon will all be coming back though!

Ben Affleck suits up while hitting the opening night gala and world premiere of his highly anticipated film Gone Girl during the 2014 New York Film Festival held at Alice Tully Hall on Friday (September 26) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Rosamund Pike, Emily Ratajkowski, Missi Pyle, Lola Kirke, Carrie Coon, Lisa Banes, Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris, and director David Fincher.
