Busy Philipps is opening up to fans.

During the most recent episode of her podcast Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best on Thursday (December 31), the 41-year-old actress revealed that her eldest child Birdie, 12, is gay.

“For those of you who are my friends listening at home, this is the first you’re hearing that Birdie is gay and out,” Busy shared with her cohosts Shantira Jackson and Caissie St. Onge. “Birdie told us at 10 years old and we immediately… I mean obviously, I knew that Birdie knew.”

Later in the podcast, Busy also revealed that Birdie prefers using the they/them pronouns.

“I said, ‘You know, Bird, I’ve been doing a bad job with the pronouns,’” Busy recalled. “Because Birdie said that they would like their pronouns to be they/them, and I haven’t been doing it, and I said because I have this public persona and I want Birdie to be in control of their own narrative and not have to answer to anybody outside of our friends and family if they don’t want to.”

Busy continued, “Bird was like, ‘I don’t give a f—k. You can talk about how I’m gay and out; you can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. That’s great.’ So I said, ‘OK, I can talk about it on the podcast.’”

“So Birdie, my out kid, prefers they/them,” Busy added. “I f—k up sometimes, but I’m trying my best at that, too.”

The 40-year-old actress and Busy Tonight host dressed up as Regina George’s “Cool Mom” from Mean Girls while her daughter Birdie, 11, went as Regina!

“Her name is Regina George and she is a massive deal.💗,” Busy captioned a photo of her daughter on Instagram. She noted that Birdie brought a pair of tennis shoes to school in her backpack!

While posting the photos of herself as Regina’s mom, Busy wrote, “The irony is not lost on me that Regina George wouldn’t let this cool mom trick or treat with her and her friends.”

Busy Philipps rides a rainbow swing with her daughters while attending the Rockets of Awesome Back-to-School Pop-Up Event on Wednesday (August 7) in the Flatiron District of New York City.

The 40-year-old actress and Busy Tonight host had some fun with Birdie, 10, and Cricket, 6, at the event.

In partnership with Baby2Baby, Rockets of Awesome will have a charity box at the store where families can drop off new and used items of clothing. All donations will be given to the non-profit organization which provides necessities for children in poverty across the country.

Busy Philipps is excited for her daughters to hit a big milestone in their lives!

The 40-year-old actress and television personality, who is mom to six-year-old Cricket and 10-year-old Birdie, recently saw an article about hosting “first period parties” for young girls.

According to HelloGiggles, the idea of the soiree is to help girls celebrate their changing bodies and embrace their first periods.

“I don’t even need to read this, I am already so excited to throw a first period party for my girls! ❤️✨❤️” Busy wrote on her Twitter.

Busy Philipps and her family’s Christmas card didn’t exactly make it to the mail.

The 39-year-old talk show host took to her Instagram to share what was supposed to be mailed out to 250 friends and family members!

On the card, Busy can be seen enjoying Disney World with her husband Marc Silverstein and their two daughters – 10-year-old Birdie and five-year-old Cricket.

“I ordered 250. I sent exactly zero. Merry Christmas from my family to yours ❤️,” Busy captioned the photo.

Kim Kardashian has a little model on her hands!

The 37-year-old reality star’s daughter North West, 5, adorably made her runway debut in the L.O.L. Surprise Fashion Show on Saturday afternoon (September 22) in the Pacific Palisades, Calif.

L.O.L. Surprise – the #1 toy in the world – used the fashion show to celebrate the launch of their new toy “Bigger Surprise” and had the kids dress up as their favorite characters for the show.

Other celeb-kids hitting the runway included Busy Philipp‘s daughter Birdie, 10, and Sara Foster‘s daughter Valentina, 7.

“North is completely obsessed with L.O.L. Surprise already, so when we found out there was going to be an L.O.L. Surprise BIGGER Surprise Fashion,” Kim said during the event.

FYI: North is carrying a Cult Gaia bag and she was styled by Simone Harouche.

Busy Philipps and her family just got back from a vacation in Hawaii, but she broke down on her Instagram Story in a series of posts made overnight due to a “parental fail”

‘Guys I ended our wonderful family vacation with a total parental fail. Birdie‘s favorite bear, Radar, and her other bear Flat Bear were left,” Busy said. “I called and housekeeping haven’t found them, so I think they were really tangled up in the sheets and they just went to the place where they wash the sheets and so hopefully tomorrow they’ll find them.”

“But it doesn’t make anything better and of course all of Cricket‘s animals made it back. I feel like such an a**hole,” Busy continued. She was visibly upset and at various points in the videos and was very emotional.

“[Birdie] was just so heartbroken, and I was, like, I knew it as soon as I opened up the suitcases to get Cricket‘s stuff out for bed, I was like I didn’t see Radar and Flat Bear, I was like f**k f**k f**k,” she continued. Busy ripped apart the family’s suitcases to try and find the stuffed animals, but had no luck. Busy then revealed that one of the bears was hers as a child.

“We’re all healthy, made it back in one piece. They’re just stuffed animals. She’ll recover. She’s resilient. I don’t know if I will,” Busy added.

We hope that Radar and Flat Bear make it back to Birdie!
