The trailer for The Suicide Squad is here!

The upcoming film, directed by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn, features a ton of superstars and familiar faces from 2016′s Suicide Squad, including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.

The upcoming film also features Sylvester Stallone, Michael Rooker (Savant), Flula Borg (Javelin), David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher2), Idris Elba (Bloodsport), Mayling Ng (Mongal), Sean Gunn (Weasel), Pete Davidson (Blackguard), Peter Capaldi (The Tinkerer), Juan Diego Botto (Presidente General Silvio Luna), Joaquín Cosío (Mayor General Mateo Suarez), Jenn Holland (Emilia Harcourt), Storm Reid (Tyla), Alice Braga (SolSoria) and Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.).

John Cena‘s Peacemaker is also in the film, and he is getting his own HBO Max spinoff.

Here’s a plot summary: “Welcome to hell—a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.”

Nathan Fillion just addressed rumors about his role in the movie.

Chris Pratt chats with Chris Hemsworth as they prepare to film Thor: Love and Thunder on Monday (February 1) in Sydney, Australia.

The pair will be back as their characters Star-Lord and Thor in the upcoming Marvel movie. Also seen on set that day were other Guardians of the Galaxy actors Karen Gillan, who portrays Nebula, and Sean Gunn, who plays Kraglin Obfonteri. Check out all the photos from the set in the gallery below.

A brand new teaser for the upcoming movie The Suicide Squad has been revealed and the entire cast and their characters were unveiled in the clip!

The teaser was played during the film’s panel at DC Fandome, a live-streamed event for the DC Universe.

Some of the stars from the 2016 movie Suicide Squad are reprising their roles in the new film, including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.

“The Suicide Squad is by far the most fun I’ve ever had making a movie,” director James Gunn told fans during the panel. “The character I was most excited to write for was Harley Quinn there’s a chaotic, trickster god [element] to her.”

The film’s producer Peter Safran said that the project is “a total reboot… everything you would hope from a James Gunn script and I think that says a lot and that promises a lot and I know that we will deliver a lot.”

The cast of the upcoming movie The Suicide Squad is hard at work and we have new photos from set!

A bunch of cast members were spotted on set on Thursday (October 10) in Atlanta, Ga.

Returning star Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) joined new cast members Nathan Fillion, Pete Davidson, Michael Rooker, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, and Mayling Ng.

It is rumored that Nathan is playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, Pete is playing Blackguard, Michael is playing Savant, Flula is playing Javelin, Sean is playing Weasal, and Mayling is playing Mongal. None of these casting reports have been officially confirmed yet.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is directing this sequel to 2016′s Suicide Squad.

Sean Gunn is a married man!

The 45-year-old Gilmore Girls actor has tied the knot with his longtime love Natasha Halevi.

The couple got married on June 15 at the Descanso Beach Club on Catalina Island in Southern California and Sean‘s brother James Gunn officiated the ceremony.

James directed the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, which Sean had a role in.

Among the guests at the wedding were Judy Greer, Jenna Fischer, Jennifer Holland, his Gilmore Girls co-star Keiko Agena, and the show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.

“We really wanted to break the wedding rules so everyone would have space to have fun and be themselves,” Natasha told People. “We started by giving a dress code of ‘1920s disco ball goes to the beach,’ which basically meant: be fun, be fabulous, be colorful, be shiny, be awesome. We wanted to get rid of the fear of outshining anyone — and our friends definitely brought it!”

Cobie Smulders and Linda Cardellini strike a pose on the purple carpet while at the Avengers: Endgame world premiere held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Monday (April 22) in Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Maria Hill in the franchise, was joined at the event by her husband Taran Killam while Linda, 43, stepped out solo – she plays Laura Barton, the wife of Jeremy Renner‘s character Hawkeye.

Avengers: Endgame stars Sean Gunn and his fiance Natasha Halevi, Emma Fuhrmann, Frank Grillo and Kerry Condon also stepped out, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Laurence Fishburne, Avengers: Infinity War‘s Ross Marquand, Ant-Man‘s David Dastmalchian, Thor: Ragnarok‘s Taika Waititi and Spider-Man: Far from Home‘s Tony Revolori.

Also in attendance to show their support were Ken Jeong, Kevin Smith and his daughter Harley Quinn Smith, Backstreet Boys‘ AJ McLean, Chris Hardwick and his wife Lydia Hearst, and Courtney B. Vance.

The Guardians of the Galaxy cast – Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, and Pom Klementieff – have come together to support the re-hiring of James Gunn after being fired over past tweets.

Zoe tweeted out the letter with the tweet, “If you please, read the statement written and signed by The Guardians of the Galaxy cast in support of James Gunn’s reinstatement as director of GOTG Volume 3.”

The letter begins, “We fully support James Gunn. We were all shocked by his abrupt firing last week and have intentionally waited these ten days to respond in order to think, pray, listen, and discuss. In that time, we’ve been encouraged by the outpouring of support from fans and members of the media who wish to see James reinstated as director of Volume 3 as well as discouraged by those so easily duped into believing the many outlandish conspiracy theories surrounding him.”

“We are not here to defend his jokes of many years ago but rather to share our experience having spent many years together on set making Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2. The character he has shown in the wake of his firing is consistent with the man he was every day on set, and his apology, now and from years ago when first addressing these remarks, we believe is from the heart, a heart we all know, trust, and love,” the letter continues.

Finally, “There is little due process in the court of public opinion. James is likely not the last good person to be put on trial. Given the growing political divide in this country, it’s safe to say instances like this will continue, although we hope Americans from across the political spectrum can ease up on the character assassinations and stop weaponizing mob mentality.”
