'F9,' the Ninth Fast & Furious Movie, Delayed Again After Bond Movie Books Same Date

F9, the upcoming ninth movie in the Fast & Furious franchise, has been delayed again by almost two more months.

The film was originally scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020, but Universal Pictures had to delay the release due to the pandemic. The movie was then given an April 2, 2021 release date.

Now, the movie has been delayed again to May 28, 2021, which is Memorial Day weekend.

The news was announced just two hours after MGM revealed that the next Bond movie, No Time to Die, had been pushed back from November 2020 to April 2. It’s definitely not good to have two major movies out on the same day!

Vin Diesel returns for the new movie alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Ludacris, as well as Oscar winners Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren.

Ludacris Suggests 'Fast & Furious' Might Be Heading to Space!

The Fast & Furious franchise might be blasting off to new heights.

Ludacris made an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show on Thursday (July 9).

During the appearance, Ludacris seemingly hinted that the next installment of the hit franchise – F9 – will be heading into outer space.

Co-host Julia Cunningham said she was trying to think of how the series could keep topping itself with bigger, more ambitious plot scenarios, and named space as one option.

“I will say that you are very intuitive, because you said something right, but I’m not going to give it away,” he hinted.

When she asked to confirm whether it was space, he simply covered his mouth and pretended he couldn’t say anything.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what you said,” he went on to tease.

“I will say — what’s the best way to answer this? — you’ll have to wait and see. Listen, as long as the stakes were set up correctly, then I’m down for whatever,” series screenwriter Chris Morgan previously said of the same scenario.

F9 was supposed to be released on May 22, but has been pushed to April 2, 2021 amid the pandemic.

This star was in an earlier installment of the series, but her head was cut out!

Paul Walker's Daughter Meadow Reunites With Vin Diesel's Children in Cute Selfie

A mini Fast and Furious reunion happened this week as Meadow Walker reunited with Vin Diesel and his children.

Meadow, 21, is the daughter of the late Paul Walker and shared a cute picture with Vin‘s three children, Vincent, Similce, and Pauline, who was named after Meadow‘s dad.

The outdoor snap shows the quartet showing off their radiant smiles behind and next to Meadow, who wore a maroon hoodie and hoop earrings for the shot.

“Family, forever,” she captioned the picture, tagging Vin in it.

Late last year, Vin penned his own sweet tribute to Meadow for her 21st birthday.

“I could say that I am so proud of the person you are becoming… but the truth is I have always been proud of you,” he wrote on Instagram.

Vin Diesel Says This Oscar-Winning Director is Urging Him to Direct More

It sounds like Vin Diesel will be getting behind the camera as a director more often!

During a recent interview, the 52-year-old actor revealed that Steven Spielberg recently urged him to direct more movies.

“Speaking of Steven Spielberg, I saw him recently, and he had said to me, ‘When I wrote the role for you in Saving Private Ryan, I was obviously employing the actor, but I was also secretly championing the director in you, and you have not directed enough. That is a crime of cinema and you must get back in the directing chair.’” Vin shared with The National. “I haven’t directed enough.”

If you didn’t know, Vin directed, wrote, produced, and starred in the 1997 movie Strays, where he played a drug dealer looking for a better life.

Before that, Vin directed starred in the 1995 short film Multi-Facial, which lead Steven to cast him Saving Private Ryan.

Later on in the interview, Vin says he hopes to direct a film about Hannibal Barca, the military general from Carthage who fought the Romans during the Second Punic War around 200 BC.

“I haven’t done it yet,” Vin added. “As much as I am grateful for the accomplishments, there are moments when I go ‘God, you promised the universe, very specifically, the Hannibal Barca trilogy, and you haven’t delivered it. You traveled all over the world.’”

If you missed it, Vin Diesel also recently revealed he’s recording an album!

Vin Diesel & Sam Heughan's 'Bloodshot' to Be Available on Digital on March 24, Just 11 Days After Hitting Theaters

The new comic-book movie Bloodshot will be released for digital purchase on March 24, just 11 days after the film hit theaters.

Vin Diesel, Sam Heughan, Eiza Gonzalez, and Lamorne Morris star in the new film, which opened on March 13 and earned just $9,722,037 in its theatrical run due to the coronavirus outbreak.

After only a few days in theaters, all movie theaters around the country have been shut down due to social distancing mandates amid the pandemic.

“Sony Pictures is firmly committed to theatrical exhibition and we support windowing,” Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman said in a statement (via THR). “This is a unique and exceedingly rare circumstance where theaters have been required to close nationwide for the greater good and Bloodshot is abruptly unavailable in any medium. Audiences will now have the chance to own Bloodshot right away and see it at home, where we are all spending more time. We are confident that — like other businesses hit hard by the virus — movie theaters will bounce back strongly, and we will be there to support them.”

Bloodshot will be available for the digital purchase price of $19.99. It’s not clear when the movie will be available for rentals.

Other current movies that will be released on digital include The Invisible Man, The Hunt, Emma, and Birds of Prey. The upcoming film Trolls World Tour will be getting a VOD release in April.
