Mariska Hargitay stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday night (October 21), and opened up about the time she was fired from 1995′s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie!

The 55-year-old Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star recalled being cast to play Queen Dulcea in the hit film being shot in Australia.

“I was so excited because I was going to Australia to play this queen. I get there, hair, makeup, prosthetic pieces, walking around like that feeling pretty good,” Mariska recalled. “I was there for November, and then December and then we were getting closer to Christmas and they had me on hold a lot and finally from Dec. 21, I said, ‘Hey guys, this is great, but you kept me on hold too long.’ It’s Christmas! I think that’s only fair.”

Mariska flew home for the holidays and when she called the team back in the new year, she didn’t receive the most welcome response: “They’re like, ‘Sweetie, you’re good, don’t worry about it.’ And they fired me!,” she said, jokingly adding, “I watch my P’s and Q’s on SVU now.”

Mariska Hargitay was replaced by actress Gabrielle Fitzpatrick in the role.

Jake Gyllenhaal hits the red carpet as he arrives at the 2019 Headstrong Gala on Thursday night (October 17) at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

The 38-year-old actor looked handsome in a black suit and silk, orange turtleneck as he joined host Seth Meyers and Zach Iscol, who is event co-chair, Marine veteran and founder of Headstrong, at the event.

The Headstrong Gala is held annually to support mental healthcare for those in the military veteran community.

Earlier this month, Jake joined tons of other famous friends at opening night of the Slave Play on Broadway.

Sam Rockwell says he’s done portraying racist characters on screen!

The 50-year-old actor stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday (October 10).

Sam was there to promote his new movie Jojo Rabbit, in which a young boy in Hitler’s army finds out his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. Sam plays a Nazi in the film.

Host Seth Meyers brought up the fact that Sam has also played racist characters in his other projects, citing The Green Mile and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

“I’ve hit my cap on racists for sure,” Sam said. “Definitely.”

Sam Rockwell also talked taking a SoulCycle class with Usher and more.

Lucy Boynton is sharing tales of terror!

The 25-year-old actress made an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday (October 10).

David Harbour is talking Stranger Things!

The 44-year-old actor made an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday (October 7).

During his appearance, David discussed his character’s ambiguous fate on Stranger Things, and then called the Duffer Brothers to confront them about it! He also talked about working with his young castmates.

Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert banter back and forth while on stage at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The late night talk hosts presented an award together, but first they roasted the awards show for going on without a host. This is only the fourth time in history that this has happened.

“Well, well, well, how’s the whole ‘no-host’ thing going? What a joke,” Colbert said. Kimmel then replied, “What a dumb idea. So stupid. You know what has a host? Applebee’s has a host.”

“You know who the real victims are here? It’s us,” Colbert said. “Hosting is the only thing we know how to do.” Kimmel added, “I’m sorry, but this show sucks!”

“It’s just sad. Hosts aren’t optional. Without a host, who would read the words, ‘You know my next guest from the hit series NCIS: New Orleans?’” Colbert continued.

Jimmy then replied, “No one would. Without a host, who would sit behind a desk and pretend to be interested in Jason Bateman’s vacation story?”
