Sarah Paulson is updating fans about the status of the upcoming American Crime Story anthology series, Impeachment.

While promoting her new Netflix series, Ratched, the 45-year-old actress talked a bit about turning into Linda Tripp, who was Monica Lewinsky’s confidant, for the new season.

“I’ve gotten the call and it looks like I’m going back to work next month,” she shared, adding that she’s “already had another prosthetic fitting and another two other costume fittings” for her role.

She continued on, saying that “All the sets are built, the White House, Linda’s house, Monica’s apartment. We are definitely beginning it.”

“I don’t know how long it’s going to take to shoot because with all the protocols, it seems like maximum shooting is 10 hours a day,” she explained. “And you know, the scenes are long and intense.”

Sarah adds that her role comes with “an accent to do and a voice — and it’s a whole thing…I mean, God help me. I don’t know what I’m thinking. I have really have to tell you. I was just like, what was, I think, because the scripts were just too good that the character was too interesting to me.”

Sarah Paulson has revealed that “Ratched” isn’t pronounced the way that it looks!

The Emmy-winning actress’ new series Ratched, which was inspired by the iconic character of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. The new series is Ryan Murphy‘s latest offering for Netflix as part of his overall deal with the streaming service.

In an Instagram video that Sarah filmed for Ryan‘s page, she talked about how you say the name.

“Today is Ratched premiere day. ‘Ratchet.’ Ratched. ‘Ratchet.’ Ratched. ‘Ratchet.’ How would you say it? She says Mildred ‘Ratchet.’ I don’t say Mildred Ratched, even though that’s really how it’s spelled,” she said.

So, it seems you pronounce Ratched by saying “ratch-it.”

Here is the synopsis for the series: “In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.”

We don’t see Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor out and about in public together too often, but we have some rare new photos of the longtime couple!

The 77-year-old Hollywood actress and the 45-year-old American Horror Story actress were spotted shopping together on Melrose Place on Thursday (August 27) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Holland was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on the Netflix limited series Hollywood. Perhaps they were looking for something for her to wear for the virtual ceremony next month?

In an interview published last week, Holland opened up about why she and Sarah went public with their relationship.

Holland also recently talked about why she and Sarah are not living together full-time during the pandemic.

Holland Taylor is opening up about her relationship with Sarah Paulson!

During a new interview with The Advocate, the 77-year-old Hollywood actress explained why she and the 45-year-old American Horror Story actress went public with their relationship.

“The relationship with Sarah became so public because she’s an enormous star and I was somewhat well-known,” Holland shared. “It became a news event and so I wasn’t going to deny it. Do you see what I’m saying? Other relationships that I had have not been with famous people. No other relationship I had would become a news event in that sense. When once that happened, there was no way not to just speak about it.”

Holland and Sarah have been together since 2015. Later in her interview, Holland discussed why she doesn’t like defining her sexuality.

“Well, if you said, ‘What is your sexuality?’ I’d say I’m gay,” Holland explained. “I really don’t like the definitions. I just feel like I’m a person. It’s not the major defining thing of my life. It’s not defining. I’m a human being. That’s defining.”

On quarantine with girlfriend Sarah Paulson: “Sarah has a house about five minutes from me. So we spend the long weekend up at her house, and I’m by myself here for two days, and we spend one day together here. So we go back and forth. That’s actually good to be moving around, to have change, because it’s like — life is really, really strange. And of course, I won’t be able to work until this is over. Except for very unusual circumstances. I don’t know what it will be like when actors can really be in a big film production, 150 people…I mean, we’re mostly together, and we both have a little time where you just don’t have anybody to answer to, without any sort of accommodating someone else’s plans. So it’s good for me because I’m older, and I’ve been so independent all my life, so it works out well.”

On Legally Blonde: “It’s a very clever idea, and a really charming entry into the area of women’s rights and the perception of women in our society. And Reese [Witherspoon] is just remarkable. She’s one of our marvelous actresses who has brought a number of roles that will be indelible culturally, and this is one of them. And it was just a classic case of playing a professional person who had real resonance with the audience. And her saying that one line, now I don’t even remember what it was — ‘If you’re going to let one stupid son of a bitch ruin your life…’”

On the privilege of acting: “I would say I think it is interesting to notice in my life that the free agency that I’ve had is not given to many women. And it’s a real privilege and it’s a real gift from good fortune to live an actor’s life, because it’s a highly privileged life. You have a lot of time off. You have a very changeable life. You have a life filled with not only the variety of your activity, but the variety of all the people that you’re thrown in the company of and the different places that you go. I think it’s a matchless life. And I’ve had a long, long, long career that has taken me far and wide and has brought so many remarkable people. Every job usually leaves you with a friend from that job who is a very valuable, savory taste of your life. So it’s a matchless life to have.”
